Should I get one?

Are you planning to cut it down and put a shitty chinese "heat shield" on it to pretend like it's a trench gun?
If so, consider buying one to use as a microphone instead.
>>33533575
No op but thanks for the idea
>>33533575
Of course not, I like the look of trench guns, but I prefer a full length shotgun.
>>33533550
I regret selling mine.
Which is stupid because when I had it all I could think about was what a piece of shit it was and how fucking furious it made me with its never-feeding-the-last-two-rounds bullshit, but the grass is always greener I suppose.
Get a ithaca 37 or winchester model 12
They have slamfire and are objectively better and the action wont blow backward at you if the loads are too strong.
>>33533669
This is good advice. I cant't remember the model but I thinks Stevens had a trench gun around WW 2 as well.
>>33533550
I inherited one of these. Read somewhere that you need to use era appropriate shells. Like regular 3 1/2 shells won't eject properly or something, idk it's been a while since I read it. Any truth to this though? Been dying to take this thing to the range.
>>33534007
please tell me you dont think 3 1/2 is a "regular shell". if you really believe that its surprising your gun is still intact
>>33534007
>3 1/2 inch shells
>Standard
They won't fire 3 1/2 inch shells, or any other magnums. They will however cycle common buck or birdshot loads. Just don't put anything labeled "magnum" or "high velocity" in them.
I love mine, its a takedown version made in 1912, I was able to get for 199$ because some asshole sawed it down and put a shitty orange buttpiece on it, still fires like a dream and slamfires too

520 and 620s where stevens shotguns used by the U.S
Speaking of Winchesters, how's the Model 120?
>>33534007
please use 2 3/4 inch shells, you will thank yourself when your gun dent blow up.
I've shot stuff with shotguns for 38 or 39 years...never bought a 3.00" or 3.5" 12 gauge shell. 2.75" will do anything I need it to except perhaps long range goose hunting.
Get that '97. Those guns are cool. I had a friend in high school who had a bin full of parts-gun 97's and he built a couple of working examples.
Avoid the Winchester 120. It's the Daihatsu Charade of shotguns.
