Because durr killshots are a bit boring, here's my most notable kill, in self defense.
>decide to go on a long hike with psl in mid summer
>the exact reason escapes me, but I think I just wanted to see if I could find a coyote or something and just see how hard it was to lug a heavy gun around
>go out to large wildlife area with the dog
>about a mile and a half into my hike around this wildlife area
>hot, and terrain sucked from the start and is only getting worse the further I go in
>even the dog is starting to give me that "why the hell would you subject me to this?" look
>decide to turn around since I barely have enough energy to make it back at this point
>FINALLY getting close to vehicle again, maybe 100 yards away

I've had a badger within 10 feet of me two other times since then. I pointed my pistol at it just in case, it just kept on it's course, so I let it be.

Grouse and squirrel are so much more fun to go after than stand hunting deer. Grabing a .22 and a couple of buddies and just clearing a narrow valley of all the forest game that moved was the best time I ever had hunting.

I never take pics of my kills because I don't really see a point. I only kill pest animals like starlings/pigeons/coons/rabbits/skunks/mole/possum. My biggest kill out of those was a massive raccoon that I shot out of a tree in my backyard. Took 8 shots with a .22 to bring the fucker down
