You should be able to get them for 220-250 from online retailers, or used at around 200.

As far as sub-compact 9mm double stack recessed hammer fired carry pistols, they really don't have any competition worth mentioning, in their price range.

The only thing close is a Kel-Tec, and I prefer the SCCY.

As with all sub-compact guns, you're going to need to practice more to overcome the trigger, but i find it an easier trigger and sight system to overcome than something like a Kahr.

Honestly, the hi-point trigger is better, because it's striker fired SAO. That doesn't make the Hi-Point a better gun really.

The Hi-Point also has a better trigger than a Kahr and a Kel-Tel PF-9 PF-11 P3at etc.

I held one. The Finger grooves bother me. Don't fit my man hands at all. The safety(for the models with safeties) also dig into my hand.
I still want one. It would be good cheap truck gun. I would just have to dremel off the fanger gooves.
Also, lots of color options. I like the OP pic's color. Just without the safety

Lc9s and glock 43 are better options in the $300 range.
The sccy is in the $200 range
Compare to diamondback db9, Taurus 709, and kel Tec pf9, not comparable at all to a hi point
