I'm actually on the market for a snubby problem solver. Anyone able to recommend one in the 2-300$ range? One with a hammer preferred.

Check out the M209, made by Rock Island Armory, Armscor is the US distributor. Usually priced around $220, it's a copy of the Colt Detective Special. J&G had them for $209, but all they have left is the M200 with a 4" bbl, they want about $250 for them.
Bought this old problem solver last year. I know it probably just sat in someone's drawer but I still would be fascinated to know what all it's encountered throughout it's life considering it was produced in Europe in the 1800's. It's like a little time capsule.
this is my problem solver right here

Used Smith and Wesson J-frame. They're common and inexpensive. Lots were cop back up guns, and have more holster wear than anything else.
I picked up a model 36 for $180 last year. Very light surface rust by the grip on the left side, left grip pretty funky, and otherwise 70-80 percent blue. Serial number puts it to the early 70s, cylinder lockup is nice and tight.
New revolvers are all generally worse than old ones. Colt is overpriced, Smith has hillary holes, Taurus is Taurus.
smells like fish poop
somehow can still hit a can at about 40 yards
