I'm a Hollywood prop master, for the record, the director or actor could have requested whatever optic was attached be removed.

For a show this big I guarantee the armorer or prop master has a very large kit of stuff ready and has optics falling out of his butt. It was probably a choice to make it "look cooler" that someone on set made.

Or they rushed that gun out there for some reason before someone put sights on it.
