a 20 inch 500 is 7+1

the 590 ends up noticeably heavier than the 500
its only worth it if you really want to pay an extra 100-200 for 1 more round and a bayonet lug your not going to use for anything but photoshoots.

for some people that 1 round and extra durability might be worth the price jump but the regular 500 will still stand up to more abuse than your ass can throw at it unless you go out of your way to destroy it.

Some newer 500 models have the cheaper, molded Maverick style pump handle. To swap it out for a new one or an aftermarket part, you will have to buy the action slide tube in the length you need.

not that guy but the 590 is just pointless. It costs more than a 500 but it doesn't really offer much more than a 500. Since you are gonna pay that extra money you might as well get the actual upgrade that is the 590A1

The 590 is just there to make people feel like they've got the best of both worlds.
