An HMG STG-44 because I think their product has some bitchin potential and would love to see normies throw dosh at it when it comes out.

Also AK-74s, krinkovs, and the introduction of actually carrying weapons, such as having to carry your rifle in a gym bag to avoid getting the cops called, or CCing handguns. All this to keep players from carrying 10 weapons on their person because that shit is annoying.

I some special snowflake gun as the starter weapon, and no Frankenstein creations. Ii want to know my character is using a Sig or smith and wesson. 5 was a step in the right direction and I liked using berettas (or taurus clones) instead of just glocks and 1911s. It really fir the feel of LA

they could make it work. The problem is there is nothing useful over there. All the good apt, offices, garages are in the city. There is nothing unique like some sort of shop or office environment to make it worthwhile. Only recently after the game died did they add MC clubhouses out there and there are some in the city too negating any reason to buy one up north.

Don't really care for the exact guns but more grounded shooting/gunplay like in IV

I really didn't know this? I played it a lot on the X360 but to be fair I played most of it with the reticle on "simple" that was just the single white dot and not the larger gray + white down.

One huge thing I loved about IV that I didn't like about V was the lack of the god awful aim acceleration.

That would be near impossible to do until it's the year 2177. Closest thing afaik is that one True Crime game that has a bunch of enterable interiors. The other shit you listed, fuck yeah I'll settle for that. I want a GTA that has less cops on your ass in turn for them being smarter with skill levels that vary from cop to cop

There were cops like that in IV, actually. Some of them were fat and couldn't chase you on foot. As your wanted level rose, you would also see swat and FIB agents chasing you. Depending on the car you had, they would either chase you with speedy mustang cars or big SUVs.

well, GTA V development started in mid 2008, it was already past the initial fleshing out stage by the time TBOGT came out (remember the V at the end?), and it was mostly working by 2010. if they started GTA VI development in 2013 or 2014, they could announce later this year.
i have seen some worrying statements from rockstar however. once they mentioned something about making GTA Online into "the definitive GTA", being able to mount new maps onto it as time progressed. and most of their online job postings do seem to be geared around GTA Online.

they usually do a decent job with guns, the typical deagle and UZI for the normoes, the taurus 92fs and HK USP/beretta storm hybrid (I like to to think its the HK p2000) was a nice mix it

Really the big catch is when and where do you want to set it? modern times vs a time period and where. persoanlly I want a new place they havent done yet, something in the midwest/northwest or east coast thats not liberty city.

I dont care how big the map is either, 5 is pretty huge but there isnt much to do it it. Oh wow look how big this open nothingness is !id rather it be smaller and it flush out the buildings and side missions. Also the story needs to be good. theyre getting dangerously close to be silly and going the way of saints row. trade in the american dream/criminal trying to get out of the life plot we've seen before. Lots of people suggested making a cop the MC or at least one, in contrast to another character thats a criminal. make it gritty and serious with slight dark humor undertones

I was thinking about Japan too. I actually have a few countries that would be more fun though. At most Japan may end up being about knives and katanas.

For me, next gta should be either Brazil, Russia, or China. Brazil and china would be fun because of the city environment, Russia would have some epic military vehicles.

I also think by the time the next gta comes out they will be trying to do multiple territories. It might look like multiple cities.

Remington 870 or Mossberg 590, and make sure the character can pump it realistically fast.

MP5, Uzi, Sten, Glock 18, Famas, Finnish RK62 (better AK some Jews copied), FN FNC, HK G3, SCAR

and the all important obligatory M2 and MG42/MG3 and M60 and throw in a fucking Garand for fun.

Maybe even a Girandoni air rifle. This thing too whatever it is pic related.

and a full assortment of offensive and defensive and experimental grenades.

I don't know if this was in the changelog but I remember on GTAO's launch date, you could actually do the manual ragdoll thingy when you jump mid-air and press B (360).

They took that shit out the next day or so. Made me made as hell. Despite how shitty GTAO was and V's flaws, I legit think GTAV was worth the $60.

GTAO and R*'s shark card bullshit however makes me very skeptical about their future games including RDR2.

What if they made hunting more fun?

Include like a Sniper style terminal ballistics system giving you feedback on your hits. Put some poachers out there for the morality dillemma, maybe even some game wardens. Choice!

Maybe spend more time on quests available around the map so people keep on playing. I would make a rule of thumb every part of town has a story to tell, either mass corruption or dark secrets.

There should be swamp near vice city and some keys. It is based off Miami after all. To make it even better they could have the center of the map be water and have either a Cuba or Bahamas like island that is a different country. The story could have you running drugs by cigarette boat and playing the FIB against Caribbean revolutionaries.

Also whatever they do there should be places to chop up stolen cars for money and various odd jobs that the player can do at his own pace. GTAV did a good job of fixing the nagging of GTA4s friend system, but they nerfed the fuck out of the tool around and do shit part of the game in favor of pushing their shitty ass MMO. Although I really enjoyed the heists it feels like rockstar is going the route of call of duty and is making a blood sacrifice of the single player to cash in on all the dollars they can get with a competitive multiplayer turd

In IV, sniper rounds actually took time to reach a target. I got to the point in IV where I was autistically good at shooting moving targets with the PSG-1 that included

i think take two is really pushing rockstar into becoming the type of studio they shouldn't be. the entire appeal of the GTA series is in it's uniqueness, if you force it to become just another shooter nobody will play it anymore.

Actually, Team Bondi made LA Noire. Rockstar was the publisher. Only reason I know this is cuz there was a controversy surrounding how poorly Team Bondi treated their employees during LA Noire's development.

I can assume each and each update meant more fucking pistols to cycle through in vehicle mode as you were looking for explosives or an AP pistol. I stopped playing GTAO as soon as the first """free""" DLC was released.

By the time they "unfucked" most of their shit, everyone gave up and lost interest. Way to go, Rockstar.

The most ironic thing is that this is yet another thing that GTA IV got right, where they made the AK do more damage per shot than the M4, the pump action shotty more powerful at close range than the semi auto, and the weaker pistols still having decent headshot capabilities that rewarded shot placement over mag dumping into center mass with a more powerful pistol.

That fucking inventory wheel was maximum bullshit.

It was bearable in 4 because there just wasn't as much weapon variety.
Ideally some sort of loadout menu should exist, that you can access at certain areas like your house, a gunshop, a garage, and so on, where you can choose to fill up a certain number of slots on the wheel with your gear of choice.

Any. What is important to me in GTA games isn't the guns, they always include an adequate arsenal. Sure there is space for improvements, but guns aren't why I play GTA.

What I like is the depiction of the seedy underbelly of American cities with a healthy dash of social commentary.

We had Liberty City in IV and San Andreas in V. Therefore I assume VI will be Vice City which, I would actually love to revisit: The city that is always dancing away in a Malibu nightclub fuelled by the drugs and cheap labour pouring in from south American countries. Haitian and Cuban gangs at war with each other while you try to balance between the two while making your way to the top.

I'm not from the area of Florida so I have nothing to compare with except Vice City and that was based on an era 30 years ago, a local will probably correct me on the issues the area is facing these days.

A larger map than Vice City would be preferable, something with a main island/continent that is large enough to contain areas that are distinctly inspired by Florida with Miami vibes, Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama with New Orleans vibes and an area with Georgia/South Carolina vibes.

The social commentary is key here, do it too little and you might as well not, do it too much and it becomes hammy and dated hard. I'd include references to a Trump-like figure getting elected on a platform to deport illegals, the recent debate regarding the Confederate flag and definitely keep the references to attempts to have cannabis legalised. Maybe even, depending on how far they are willing to go, self-righteous far-left people who ask you to attack "white supremacists" but won't do it themselves because violence is beneath them. Fuck, throw in a mission where you - dressed as a policeman - incite a riot by shooting a hoodlum or two to provide a distraction to the actual police while you perform a heist.

Damn it Rockstar, I'd ask for a check but 2016+17 really wrote GTA VI for you.
