Saw off the tips of the bullets. Make them flat nose to give them a better chance to expand.

Any gun with ammo is better than no gun.

You got a full power rifle round, it'll blow right through a guy even if he's huge, even if he's got soft armor on.

So it's okay I guess, the chances of hitting someone unintentionally are pretty low. Of course you'll have to consider it before pulling the trigger, but I'd take the risk if my life was in danger and I was reasonably sure there'd be nobody innocent past the bad guy.
