What gun could this bullet have been used for?
It was found in Spain, when I was looking for fossils in a small abandoned village
Bellow it reads 92 lvl and ะค this simbol also appears

Oi, don't let the constabulary catch yoo with that mate.

AK-92, Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1892
This is what's its bottom looks like
And these bullet casings were found next to it
A 5CM long cartridge in a military load is probably a 5.56x45
The "Theta" is a primer crimp mark. 92 is likely the YOM, 1992. I believe LVL is an munitions fab mark.
Looks like it would be for a Spanish G36, which was adopted in 1990.

Great, thanks for the help mate

Those are definitely 9X19 pistol casings. Between those and >>33508736
You probably found a Spanish Army training range from the 1990s.

Follow on: it wasn't LVL, but "IVI", a mark for "Industries Valcartier Inc.", Valcartier, Quebec, Canada.

Looks like the casing might be 42mm long, which is odd. It does LOOK like a 5.56, but... it couldn't be 5.8x42, could it? Why would the Chinese be in Spain? No, derp, the 5.8x42 couldn't have been around in 92, nevermind, it must be just a simple 5.56. Yup. with that pic a dime is just about 5mm wide, and the bullet is just a BIT wider than 5mm so definitely seems to be 5.56m or at least damn close to it. Case closed, I think.

Oh, cool, maybe the Spanish and Canadians had a training course together, or perhaps the Spanish simply bought some ammo from Canada at some point. Neat!
>>33509005
Probably the latter. Spain swapped over from the a 7.62 G3/CETME in 1990 and wouldn't have ramped up production of 5.56 in just two years, if they even had a manufacturer that could make it to NATO spec during that year. It would have been cheaper to buy it from Canada.

Awesome stuff. Good on Spain for supporting our ammunition-producing industry. Pretty cool that the SAS use Canadian-made C8 assault rifles too. Norwegians use C7 and/or C8 rifles as well I think, or was it Finland? No no, I'm pretty sure it was Norway.
