What would you guys say are good alternitaves to the US GI aluminum mags(not saying they are bad but I want to see what's out there)

PMAGs. I don't really know why you'd buy anything but magpul pmags, since hexmags are known to be shit.

pmags, l5 and usgi mags are the only ones that matter

PMAGs for sure, they have reliability magic. I'd be skeptical about promags though. Heard conflicting reports

Pmags are fantastic and uber reliable for AR's (Some snowflake rifles like the SCAR 16 and FS2000 have problems with them). The only Hexmag I ever bought was trash and didn't feed correctly, this is anecdotal but still relevant. I have heard good thing about lancer mags but have never given them a go myself. Besides that, other mags are hit and miss. GI mags are good even though some do not like their aesthetic. My favorite AR mag of all time is the C Products Gi mag with their Teflon coating. The thing slips into the rifle like a gay cock at Pulse nightclub.

Not OP but been looking for GI mags, thanks man.

For your SA, it's only gen 2 pmags that had issues in the SCAR 16s.

That said, the M3 Pmag works in practically everything. It's my favorite mag but Lancers are a close second. Honorable mention goes to HK translucent polymer mags, but they don't like my billet receivers.
E-lander is an option.
