ive done it, i dont plan on carrying the axe around constantly. I have a place i plan to go. Its a concrete house with power and a well on high ground out in the middle of nowhere. It has two bedrooms with each with 2 bunk beds(thats 8 beds) and two single beds, it also has a kitchen, a wood stove(that can heat the whole place), a common area, and a functioning bathroom. Its surrounded by a few farms and has quite a few hidden trails with road access. On the land there are also a few food plots and plenty of wild game.

It has two outside sheds for storage and extra beds with a kitchenette. There is also a decent size pile of 2x4's. just behind the house is 50 yards range. its on about 2,000 acres of private land.

other than the ax it looks pretty reasonable. I find that a carpenters or bow saw is much more versatile than an axe and more importantly, safer. especially if it's an easwing which are generally horrible. they can't be rehafted, they are shit at splitting because they are too thin and the blade is too long so they creat loads of friction and don't wedge open logs as nicely.
