Anyone with a VP9 comment on how easy it is to have a failed slide lock after last round fired? I feel that slide lock lever is too damn big and prefer low profile ones like Glock's or Sig P320's.

Regardless, going by objectively quantifiable parameters Glocks are the best handguns. They are more reliable than anything else, they have the fewest parts (plays into reliability), the steel used is better (cannon/ordnance steel), the surface finish is the best, the manual of arms is the best, the after market support is juuge. HK in general is trash and the VP9 is just their pittyful attempt at a Glock copy.

The biggest problem I have with the VP9 (and this may be a problem with striker fired guns in general) is how prone to malfunctions it was when dropped in water. We're not talking about taking it deep sea diving, but literally dropping it into a puddle of water bricked the gun which is a significant problem to me. Is there no way to seal the striker channel from water?
