Don't listen to these guys, you take off the patina it's got you've ruined the value of the piece, just oil to keep it from getting any worse. As for the price I've got nooo idea, try looking on websites that sell "antique" revolvers and find a similar benchmark to go from. if you aren't going to sell it and you want it to look better, use extremely fine copper wool and rub gently with a little bit of oil

Lefaucheux. We need better pictures, but it seems in pretty poor shape. Severe pitting etc. The trigger and cylinder is different from what I'm seeing in current auctions so it might be a early model, you should probably have it appraised by someone who knows pinfires

Just searching gunbroker for pinfire/lefaucheux lol. They all seem more modern with a smooth cylinder and standard triggers with guards, or pocket pistols with folding triggers. So I'm wondering if your gun might be part of a early batch or something given the cylinder.
