I picked this up for $20 as a gunsmith special, all it needs is just a spring for the ejector spur.

If you need more info:
Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special with a 3' barrel. Serial number indicates Early 70's production. Grips are a bit loose, but a new grip screw could fix it.

There's a very high possibility that it was used to kill someone.

Nigga for 20 bucks I'd buy something that would never work again and just refurb it and put in on display somewhere.

depending on whats wrong with it you may have done very well

I filled out a bill of sale at the Gun store. IDC if it's hot, I'd turn it in.

Thats pretty good, if you feel inclined hit it up with some 400 grit sand paper after taking it apart and spray and bake with engine enamel.

It functions alright, it's just missing the spring that fits under the spur ejector. From what I'm finding it's about $6-12 for the parts.

Might have to in his state

Worth more than that in parts. You probably have $75-100 in parts if you part it out.
So yea, you did fine. In working condition in that condition probably a $175-200 pistol.

>a very high possibility that it was used to kill someone
I'd call that a bonus.
