Anyone know what connector this is? Also, radio/comm thread
>>
>>33482473
are you a licker or do you wet your finger and rub it in the connector?

if you removed the o ring to make it easier to connect. your commo shop hates you.
>>
>>33483989
what?
>>
>>33483989
:)
>>
>>33482473
Some military connector.
>>
>>33484030
I am aware its some military connector, I need to know which specifically.
>>
>>33482473
I've built similar connectors at work
>>
>>33484045
any idea what the connector is called? I need to make one but I cant find anything about them.
>>
Looks like some kind of radio connector (PTT? push to transmit) If you want to debug it, try to find a data sheet and what it plugs into. You could strip the cable connecting to it, and put it in a ardunio or something
>>
>>33484030
This desu. Not sincgars, but similar rugged proprietary construction. Looks like a handset plug. Wire up an adaptor if you really have to, but doesn't seem worth the trouble.
>>
>>33484072
its for a narec, but it seems they were bought out by honeywell who has no data on it at all. I was thinking a PRC might work but I dont know shit about these.
>>
>>33484062
Hard to say what it is exactly, there are 1000s of them
>amphenol
>arinc
>glenair
Search the catalogues of these manufacturers
>>
>>33484012
that type of connector can be difficult to affix. so it is common practice in the US Army to wet the plug.

I wet my finger with my mouth and then rubbed inside the plug. Though some licked it. Some yanked out the o ring that sealed it against dust and water. Those people got a trip to the first sgt or CSM. because they destroyed army property and made more work for the commo shop.
>>
>>33484041
I highly doubt you'll find out. It's nothing to add a custom connector to a military item.
>>
>>33484106
Here an amphenol mil series connector
>>
>>33484123
Ah, fair enough. Any idea what the connector is called or where to get one?
>>
>>33484062
I can research it tomorrow if this bread doesn't 404
>>
>>33484106
Amphenol makes so many connectors, many of them custom that you won't find any documentation on. Never mind the other manufacturers. He'll never find it.
>>
>>33484160
that would be helpful. I can find the cables, but its 100 bucks... I was hoping to just find the connector so I can make my own cable.
>>
>>33484167
I have ways of researching it, I deal with these fucking things all day
>>
>>33483989
I'm a finger licker.
25C, last of the dying breed.
>>
>>33484183
Teach us your ways, then.

If you have a way with Amphenol, I'd be curious if you can find any data about the board-to-board interconnect in my Z620.
>>
>>33483989

>lick it before you stick it
>>
>>33484221
we always taught wrap it before you tap it.
>>
>>33484215
I don't have any links from home

getting closer...
>>
>>33484619
yeah thats it. just need the female version of that!
>>
>>33484619
Looks like the female version of that is U-79/U, but the outer contacts are wrong. for each pair they are fused into one... got a feeling thats going to be some bullshit proprietary connector on the female end.
>>
>>33484796
yeah giving up here, some sort of MIL-C-10544 connector. best of luck OP
>>
>>33484802
thats for breadcrumb at least. scholar and kommando...

>>
>>33482473
That there is a connector for the AN/PRC-77 Combat radio set.
>>
>>33485040
dont think it is. looking for a 10 pin connector, PRC77 is 5 pin
>>
>>33484196
Finger lickers, all the way.
Your 94E brothers join you in death.
