I don't fully trust Vortex quality either and would get something nicer in a heartbeat even regardless of cost, but in a 1-6 scope I want my mil dots for wind holds. The reticle is that important to me. Also, fuck 1-8x or 1-10x scopes for anything but SPR- type rifles, far too bulky and heavy for a light carbine or fighting rifle.
