With a weapon with a pseudo fixed barrel, like a P.38 or P.08, would adding a muzzle brake to it effect its functionality?

I would assume the venting gasses would take away enough of the backpressure that it might not have reliable cycling.

Personally I like the H&K USP. Any variant in full frame but if you cant afford $700-$500 try a Glock in any flavor. Personally I like the Glock 36. I own both and some other exotic handguns but none of the run of the mill 1911s or others.

For home defense (and not carrying) I'd look at full size, steel fram pistols. The CZ-75 line is very good, the Beretta 92fs is worth looking into (although I don't like it much myself), the S&W M&P9 might fit what you need as well.

Any wonder nine with a rail for a light should do what you need desu.

Px4 storm and 92 don't tilt.the Beretta 92 however still requires a recoil booster when using a suppressor.
Although you can throw a muzzle brake on the 92 and it'll function just fine.

i'm just getting into guns and i want to get a good cheap all around shotgun that i can use for shooting skeet, deer hunting, and home defense. what should i get?

i like the mossberg 500 persuader because it can hold 8+1 shots and it looks cool but im not sure if it has adjustable chokes or if i can put a rifled or 28" barrel on it for skeet shooting or deer hunting

When most people talk about 6.5 grendel vs 5.56 NATO, 7.62 Soviet, 5.45 Soviet, or whatever else they talk about external ballistics only. It shines like a diamond there, but nobody ever mentions how it does after it hits other than "it kills durr" or "it killed an elk once".

How does 6.5 grendel do as far as terminal ballistics are concerned?

at range, with good bullets, it's terminal effectiveness should be better than any other x39 cartridge or 5.56 but probably inferior to .308
at short ranges, it might get beat out by similarly constructed 7.62x39 projectiles (ex, if they're both using Hornady A/V-MAX)

in short, it should do pretty good
