Rumor had it the F35 will be using f15s loaded with aim-120s as a missile truck per say.

F35s would data link and send targets to f15s and the f15s would take out those targets.

Targets would try to focus on the F15 and F35s would attack from the sides.

The extra wing hardpoint was available to be fitted since F-15A, but never used. And CFTs have been around practically forever as well though it only seems to be Israel who used them on the A/B/C/D variants before the Strike Eagle came about.
