Hino Kamura pistol is a blow FORWARD pistol. You cock the gun by pulling the barrel forward. It fires by dropping the barrel back against the bullet and smacking it against the locked firing pin. The barrel gets pushed forward and ejects the round from being fired.
I fucking love it.

Im pretty sure Ian has covered a couple of blow forward designs,at any case any jap pistol was inspiration directly from western firearms.

A point to consider with this action is that there is nothing going backwards from the gun so you could lean the gun on something without having it malfunction, can't really push the barrel into anything without malfunction though.
