Would you feel safe with a 10mm auto against a grizzly?
>>33465587
I wouldn't really feel safe against a Grizzly with anything. Too many factors involved in a bear attack to make any man portable gun a foolproof method of stopping it.
>tfw New Zealand has no grizzlies or 10mm.
>>33465598
Not having a simiauto 45-70 only trustworthy government
>>33465587
I had a stand off with a grizzly with nothing but a fucking fishing rod so yes I would feel safe with the 10mm
>>33465604
Not having a semiauto 50 Alaskan
>>33465587
I would prefer a 308 semi automatic and atleat around 600 yards in distance and a good fat friend next to me.
>>33465587
Those black talons will overpenetrate the bear and kill innocent cops
>>33465618
You only need 10 yards and a .25 with a friend next to you. You know what happens next.
>>33465628
You kill your friend and then hide the gun to make it look like the bear did it?
>>33465657
Close enough
>>33465657
No you wound your friend in the leg then run away.
>>33465670
Why risk leaving witnesses? A bear may or may not eat a guy will a .25 in his thigh, but will be more inclined to eat a dead guy.
>>33465681
The bear is probably going to be a dick because it's a fucking bear. So naturally it will run down the uninjured guy with the little bang stick eat him and then go back for the ground beef limping along...
> because bears are fuckin dicks
>>33465681
>Why risk leaving witnesses?
>We now call to the stand: A Bear.
>"I watched him shoot the guy with my own two eyes"
>the same board that unironically believes that .44 Magnum handguns are insufficient against grizzlies believes that the significantly weaker 10mm cartridge when fired out of a 5'' barrel will work against a grizzly
The bear might die of blood loss later if you magdump it, but not before it mauls and kills you
>>33465708
The whole point is to pin the murder on Yogi. I mean, he was the one bear(ing) arms.
>>33465708
He'd bearly be believe able.
>>33465657
> not hiding the gun inside your friend so the bear eats it too
Fucken amateur hour round here

This
Have you ever watched videos of guides that take people on bear hunting trips in Alaska OP?
Those fucking things shrug off even 30-06 likes it's nothing if you don't shoot the damn things in the head or heart. Also even if they're massive those things can fucking move.
My dad's uncle was stationed in Alaska in like the 70's, and some massive Kodiak or whatever was getting near the base. This one guy shot it once or twice with a .50 cal machine gun since it was getting too close, and it just started charging him. He had to shoot them damn thing with like 4 rounds to kill it.
10 mm, fuck that
Yes.

On October 14, 2001, U.S. Air Force Airman Theodore Winnen was deer-hunting on Hinchinbrook Island, Prince William Sound when he and his hunting buddy, Staff Sgt. James Urban. spotted the bear. Effectively cloaked by their camouflage hunting gear, the pair had plenty of time to take their shot. The first bullet from Winnen’s 338 Winchester pierced the brain, but it took five more in the chest to bring him down. The first two photos above were taken by Urban and were posted on several hunting boards and shared among hunting enthusiasts. The bear was 10 1/2 feet long and weighed more than half a ton
Not far from the pistol was the remains of the hiker. Although the
hiker fired six shots and managed to hit the grizzly with four
shots (they ultimately found four 38 caliber slugs along with
twelve 7mm slugs inside the bear’s dead body) it only wounded the
bear – and probably angered it
Nah, as much as i like 10mm, 12 gauge is for bears.

bears are assholes who eat people starting at the ass/dicknballs, then stomach, you could be alive the whole time if they don't crush your skull first.
I'd have my doubts with a 10 and would probably still get my asshole eaten out but I
would feel more comfy with a 454 Casull
I think i would only be "comfortable" with a full auto recoil less rifle.
>but those don't exist
Then I'm not comfortable
>>33466242
>twelve 7mm slugs
?
>>33465608
Who won ?
>>33466620
The bear's been wearing his skin the whole time. It learned English from this Chinese cartoon site.
