So I ordered this bad boy today. I'm hearing a lot of good about it, but what are your guys' opinions on it?

I got the Z-5RS because I intend to SBR it in the future. I wanted something that was very compatible with mp5 aftermarket parts. The only downside I know of is that it had to come from a turkish factory. I'd have rather bought American if possible.

Anyone have an opinion on these guys?
>>
>>33461879
you didn't tell us how much you spent
>>

It literally was and it was literally cheaper

Thanks for supporting Turkey and terrorism.

Mine has ran flawlessly and made a wonderful SBR. There is no such thing as an American MP5 short of kit builds (which are rebuilt Germans).

I have made accurate hits at 200m on steel using just the sling.

$1700 wingwangs.
>>

>>
>>33461935
you saved a hundred under retail so not bad I guess. but don't question the quality it's built on HK tooling and under the supervision of HK engineers.
>>
>>33461926
Are those actually any good?
>>
>>33461926
It's cheaper, but that's probably because it only comes with 1 magazine and no accessories. I did consider Omega, but the Zenith seemed to get better build quality from my research. Which when spending that much, $100 difference wasn't good enough to buy lower quality.
>>
>>33461879

The turkish guns are better, they are built on HK tooling, US guns are not
>>
>>33461953
Because HK pays a couple of engineers to stand around and smell turks, right?

There have been no HK engineers at that factory since the day they trained the roaches to push buttons and pull levers.
>>
>>33461929
wow. That's good to know. I'll definitely see what it can do on the 100 yard range I shoot at. How long did you wait to SBR it? I'd really like a classic telescoping stock.

I don't know if it was "under supervision" of HK engineers, but I read that it's design was at least double-checked by a guy who spent his smithing career building HKs

Waited for about 4 months of testing to make sure not a lemon. Took 9 months to get the paperwork back.

Part of me wishes I had gotten the K model to SBR, and this model to use the braces on. But damn, it shoots oh so nice. Less recoil than my vector, the trigger is lovely out of the box. Safety selector is stiff, and the take down pins are STIFF. I would toss that handguard, and get a Wide or lighted forend (like I did)

Well, just remember everytime you buy a cheap Turkish gun you support the murder of the Kurds, the only halfway decent Muslims to ever exist. And help fund the white genocide of Europe and the Muslim invasion.

Right, can we all agree to just never bring up 922r again? Literally no one charged in the fucking history of ever.
>>
>>33462257
It is actually possible to make 922r compliant, with a magazine, cocking handle, foregrip, and stock. You can opt to change out the non-aesthetic bits for things like trigger, sear, hammer, etc with american parts instead.

I really like my Omega, don't have to worry about 921r when I finally end up submitting my form 1. I wish it wasn't clipped and pinned, but everything else about the gun is top notch.

Also I'm not supporting the Turkish military arms industry, which is a small benefit.

>>
>>33462638
922r compliance isn't that hard with the zenith, but I suppose it it's always nice to not have to worry about it.

You'd only ever really get in trouble if the ATF shot your dog for something else first though.
>>
>>33462716
Paki's can't weld as good and the first batch of guns that were imported had really shitty finishes; however, they probably all perform about the same, POF probably only slightly less consistent than Omega and MKE.

It's really hard to fuck up roller delayed blowback.
>>
>>33462745
I just worry about submitting a Form 1 to the ATF where i specifically need to have certain parts in my gun. I'm generally not a paranoid person, but don't fuck around with 941r compliance on NFA items.

Can a Zenith be converted to 10mm easily? That's a question asked without doing a prior google.

What all exactly goes into making a foreign SBR totally compliant? I see all these "922r" and "941r"s but what do they all mean?

Does the ATF ask for specific parts to be in certain specific guns? or does only a certain number of parts need to be American made?

>>33462821
You're overshooting the price. I've seen them in stock for $2100. And you get a gun actually made by HK, and don't have to constantly tell everyone "oh but it's licensed!"
>>
>>33462823
Fuck, typo. I've been looking at Jerichos all day.

922r requires rifles to have certain number of certain parts to made in the United States.

http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/922r-compliant/

You don't really have to worry about it with a US-manufactured firearm, but you'll have to replace certain parts on foreign made firearms so that the ATF doesn't hogtie and execute your canine.

Pretty expensive, yes, but if you're paying a premium for an MP5 type gun actually made by HK, you're probably not going to be deterred by paying one of the well known smiths to add the paddle, or clipping and pinning the trigger housing if you're anal about aesthetics.

Don't forget the trilug, arguably the biggest hurdle.

I don't understand the appeal of a semi-auto SMG/PDW.

I'd suck a syphilitic nigger dick for a FA UMP40, but for a MP5 clone, Id only jerk it off.

It's like, logically, I know I could just get a polymer pistol with an exdendo clip (trigger warning). or otherwise just move up to an AR. But no, I want this neutered pistol caliber piece of art in my life,
>>
>>33463120
Just what I've always wanted, a kit build hammered together by some chain smoker in his spare time that I have to wait months for, and costs as much as a factory built HK gun. I'd sooner buy turkshit than go that route, what a stupid fucking suggestion.
>>

As part of the semi conversion you need to deny the original FCG. The one in mine is a BRP one which takes AR15 hammer, sear and trigger (not safety).

Hmm mine trigger was pretty shit out of the box but i am a bit of a trigger snob. Also the Zenith trigger packs are BITCH and a half to put back together but a PTR trigger shoe helped mine lose some of the pre travel and slop in the takeup. Some work on the sear and mine is around 5 pounds now.
>>
>>33462793
Fuck reloading these without a paddle and fuck the price HK wants IF you can find one in stock.
>>
>>33463216

>>
>>33463499
With HK toolings, CNC machines as well as dudes who have been making guns for the last 10,15 years. These guys (POF, MKE) are state owned companies after all, undercutting HK with cheaper labor cost as well as not having any of HK's morality bullshit.

I'd be starting my own company if I had the same resource as them.
