Just use trekking poles. Anywhere you'd use a tall monopod instead of a mounted bipod (high support field use), trekking poles will generally be useful anyways.

You can use them for walking as designed and as shelter/tarp poles, and when you loop each of the wrist straps over the other pole's grips then cross the poles, it forms a solid high saddle the same way you'd use shooting sticks.
