>>
No.

The main tactical advantage of a hipoint is looking like you have nothing left to lose when you're using it.

FPBPLPDPF...ppppfffrrrt!

hi point owner here:

the hi point wouldn't function in that configuration.

the canted rear of the Slide would be too short to retain the "doll head" and theres not enough room under the barrel to contain the massive spring this thing requires.

also, your barrel length looks shorter.

finally, the problem with hi points is mags and ammo fickleness, not primarily ergonomics.

protip: blowback firearms rely on the mass of the slide or bolt to keep the casings from extracting before the pressure is reduced to a safe level

>blowback firearms rely on the mass of the slide or bolt to keep the casings from extracting before the pressure is reduced to a safe level

no shit nigger. the hipoint, though, is over engineered in order to handle +p ammunition, which is one of its functionality flaws. lightening the slide and billing it for standard pressure would cause an increase in performance. so, there is no issue with making the slide lighter.

also, if we really want to get fucky on the design, the barrel doesn't line up with the chamber.

so basically just a walther?
>>
>>33453780
i think the grip needs to be just a hair fatter and the back of the slide needs some refinement. but yeah, thats an improvement over current hipoints imo
>>
>>33455695
Why did they go from making such beautiful guns, to wannabe glock clones?
>>
>>33453780
i would never buy a single stack anything
>>
>>33453780
The materials dictate the design of the Hi Point, so it will never look like that.
>>
>>33453780
Looks kind of cool in a bizarre way, I'd at least give it a try at a range.
>>

is this a meme gun?
>>
>>33457363
no it's going to be my new cc piece. great gun.
>>
>>33453780
Not with those grips.
>>
>>33457363
God that is hideous. 750 bucks? Fuck outta here.
>>
>>33457183
Walther look leagues better than Glocks. Their grips are godlike.
>>
>>33457538
I've never seen one over 600. i think they're like Ruger with msrp's
if you don't like it just get a dp51
>>
>>33453780
looks kind of like a IWI Jericho
>>
>>33457557
I'm still amazed that people believe this.
>>
>>33457538

They do good deals during BF/Christmas.

Also, it's an incredible gun. Even at their advertised price the trigger pull makes it worth it imo. They're great guns.

>>33457649

And this too, though IIRC the DP-51's are steadily increasing in price.
>>
>>33453780
For the same price and functionality? Yes

no but would you plink with this?
>>
>>33457183
wannabe glock clones are cheaper and easier to make and there a bigger market for it
>>
>>33457183
The P99 isn't a Glock clone other than having a polymer frame.

>>33457363
Got to finger fuck one at Texas Nuggetfest. Trigger was amazing, especially with that wacky double action plus thing where you push the cocked hammer back down and it makes a weird double action pull that is spring assisted so its super light and crisp.

Make the grip comfortable, the trigger not horrendous, and make it take some standard mags (Glock, Beretta 92, whatever). Then I'd get it
>>
>>33457183
Guns aren't meant to be artsy. They're killing tools. Yes, they can look good, but form ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS follows function. Those "wannabe Glock clones" have decades of weapon design and material fabrication advancement (as well as more rounds, sometimes twice as much) on those pretty pistols.
>>
>>33453780
Slide was never that much (visually) of a problem, real problem is grip.
>>
>>33462624
looks like autistic tok
>>
I really want to get one and do the 10mm modifications to it. Everything I have seen says they do well with 10mm. Just for funs though. I really like my G20, 29 and 40.

You'd be hard pressed to find someone here that payed more than 90 here. I got one for free myself.
