Nah, they're alright. I have one, and it clears and seals. Straps are quality. Vision is adequate. Lighter and more comfortable than the M40 I used in the Army. Fits standard NATO canisters, but the one that came with mine is missing the expiration sticker. Earholes are exposed, but the design is sufficient for withstanding any threat I'd ever actually need it for. I.e., cs/tear gas. If an armed force is coming at me with more than this, it's already too late to resist.

If you've ever worn a Millennium, you know it seals well, has great visibility, and is comfy as all fuck. The only real reason to buy a 50 is if you need to get closer to a cheek weld, but shooting in a mask is both unlikely and uncomfortable no matter the mask. Also the MSA A E S T H E T I C.

the c50/m53/m50 masks have a lot less visual distortion than the bubble visor MSA masks. makes kind of a difference when your job involves shooting people.

So I might be looking for a gas mask sometime in the future. Because of this thread I've started too look around and discovered that they are hard to come by, and pretty expensive, >300! Where does an Eurobro get a cheap gasmask?

I don't care about cheek weld or some distortion. Mainly focused on durability, repeatable reliable sealing, optional, but included drinking tube and wide compatibility with many filters.

Looking for NBC and riot (any type of riot agent, but also asbestos) filters in a 1:2 ratio of buying I guess. Anyone with other suggestions?

When I was in AIT I was in a platoon formation in the field. They threw CS and arty simulators at us. We all put on masks and hit the deck. We were so close together that the guy in front of me kicked me in the face with his boot when I had my mask on. I had to debate whether to let my mask fill with blood or my lungs with CS. I inhaled a lot of CS that day. HATE the sound of anything remotely similar to arty to this day.

Nah they are cheap, same lenses as issued glasses I think. I didn't have to wear them, just saw other guys dealing with it.
