What kind of bullet does /k/ love to shoot the most? Can be a range round, hunting, or just because it looks cool.

9mm, 5.56, 300blk, 12ga, .357.
In that order.
762x39, 270, 223.
>>33449406
2 3/4" 12g slugs.
the twelve gauge pump action rifle round.
7x65r bc it's the only one i can shoot and the only one have ever shot beside .22lr

.308 hands down
It does everything relatively effectively and has a appreciable yet comfy kick to it.
.454 because rifle-velocity handguns are rad.
8mm
.40
Sorry, I just like it.
>>33449406
>9mm Makarov
>9mm Luger
>5.45x39
Fun, pleasant cartridges to shoot.
>>33449535
Second for .308. It's been my favorite cartridge since I was a wee lad.
>>33449406
I like 165 grain Hornady SSTs in my .308. They look nice, group nice, and can be pushed a little faster than 175 grain match ammo with little accuracy difference.
>>33449535
All the .308 family cartridges are pretty swell. .243, .260, 7mm-08. .243 is probably the most useful where I live, but 7mm-08 really deserves more love for being a great all around NA cartridge.
5.45
38 special
45 ACP
45 GAP has been nice
>>33449406
.44mag out of a lever gun
>>33449406
5.56x45 m193 ball
I have a thing for full metal jacket rounds
>>33449535
What's the recoil of .308 compared compared to 7.62x54r from a Mosin nugget?
>thinking of getting a .308 rifle
>>33449406
9mm
308
45-70
12ga

I've just bought a K98, cheap because some fuckwad roughly scratched off the most obviouse proof mark and only that one, and I want to display it next to one of every type of bullet that was produced for it during The War, I think I'll probably have trouble with all of the more specialist ammunition;
but first on the list of things I'm looking for but can't find is something called "spitzgeschoß mit hartkern".
It's a shortened bullet with a larger propellant charge and a tungsten-carbide core that was produced from the beginning of German re-armament to the middle of the war for anti-tank use.
Anything else I can't find I can probably make myself, eventually, but I don't think I can form a tungsten-carbide cored shortened bullet.
So, if any of you guys here in the bullet thread know of anywhere I can buy specialist WWII German rifle ammunition, or can give me advice on makeing something so weird and ridiculous, I'd appreciate some advice.
Other stuff I'm looking for is Spitsgeschoß mit Kern, Liechtes Spitsgeschoß, and tracer; just in case anyone has any that thaey might be willing to part with.

Much more comfortable, especially since most modern .308 rifles come with a butt pad.
>>33450082
Depends on the rifle. If you get a lightweight plastic stocked rifle, you're going to have probably equal felt recoil compared to the nugget. Get something in wood with a little more weight to it and it'll be less. It's not a round that'll beat you up by any means.
>>33450082
Noticeably less but not by a huge difference, at least for me. It was like the difference between a firm shove and a punch. 54r I could not see myself shooting for an extended period of time comfortably whereas the recoil for .308 felt more drawn out than sharp, making it manageable.

308
458 and 44! Pic related
But really, I'm looking forward to 6.5CM
My favorite round to shoot is 5.45x39 with 5.56 running a close second. Ill admit i like 5.45 better for no other reason than that I am a complete autist about AK's

My nigga. Except .45 colt dominates out of a lever gun/ ruger revolver
