The question is simple: What historical battle would you like to see a movie made of? You can also choose a specific director and actors, if you would like to add.
Personally my two options would be a epic about the Battle of Kursk, filmed with german and russian actors, just like the Longest Day, or a movie about the Siege of Calais in 1940, because let us be honest, I doubt someone will ever do a movie about the latter.
If i didn't wholeheartedly believe that it would go fucking nowhere good stupidly fast i would wanna see another movie on Rorkes Drift.
But all i would get to enjoy seeing out of that is people arguing history and i can get that anywhere.

I'd like to see a movie about that one us infantry regiment that looted every working vehicle it came across including a single bf-109 that they captured on an abandoned airstrip
they basically became a mechanized infantry/ light armored unit

I always thing a movie about Pavlov's house showing the ''rate krieg'' could be really interesting. If you want to make it artsy you could make it so that the camera never leaves the house. This means you could focus on the soldiers of both armies and brutal cqc scenes.

This would probably give a good comedy like Brancaleone.

I can imagine a opening where a tracked camera follows Pavlov in a continuous take, from the basement of the building until the top floor, showing all the internal preparations and situation. But did german troops ever reach the building to fight close quarters, at all?
