What's the point? Shield is shit.
>>
>>33443791
yeah but then i'd have to have an m&p shield
>>
>>33443809
The shield is not a bad gun.

The only ones who think this are people who have never shot one.

They're nowhere near the best gun ever, but for this price, a great CC option.
>>
>>33443791

>$250 for that hunk of shit when you can have a Beretta 92S for $270

What the hell are you doing?
>>
>>33443988
>The only ones who think this are people who have never shot one.
My uncle has one and he knows a guy who works there who could get me one for $225 anytime I wanted. I have shot my uncle's and was really disappointed. Not worth my money and not worth yours either tbqh.
>>
Meh, I have a M&Pc and it's only slightly larger for a much better gun.
>>
>>33444062
It's a subcompact single stack 9mm. They're not supposed to be comfortable to shoot, they just need to work well enough. Even the G43 isn't pleasant to shoot and it's 2x the price of this.
>>
>>33443791
>Turn 21 in a few months

Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!
>>
>>33444062
>Not worth my money and not worth yours either tbqh.
Not the guy you're responding to but holy shit you are fucking stupid. What gun is a suitable replacement at that price?
>>
>$75 mail in rebate
Dropped.

help me out here, is he trying to say that the shield is a bad gun?

or is he trying to say that the gun is functional but people shouldn't buy because it is too cheap?
>>
>>33443791
I'd rather have no handgun to having a shield
>>
I see a bunch of shield hate, yet I was gonna pick one up in July.
Though I doubt this gets anywhere, what's better than a shield? Genuine question.and I mean for the same (normal) price
>>
walter pps is a better single stack.
if you've ever shot a shield and any other gun you would not pick shield. It's simply unpleasant to shoot.

Just a few months ago everyone was agreeing the shield was a good gun. Now everyones shitting on it. Wtf, fuck /k/ Im just gonna go try shit out for myself from now on
>>
>>33444192
It's a fine gun for it's price and what it wants to be. It's not comfortable to shoot, but neither is any 9mm in that form factor. I have a Beretta nano, and I prefer it to the S&W, but it's not comfortable either, I just like the customization options.
>>
>>33444192
same price? probably nothing. But you should WANT to fire this gun as often as possible so most people would pay more to get a better gun so they do not waste 300dollars
>>
>>33444062
yeah well my uncle works at nintendo
>>
>>33444225
exactly, everyone should at least go to a range and rent the gun they are buying to try them first.
I've tried shield and it's not fun to shoot
>>
>>33444231
My Glock 43 is perfectly comfortable to shoot with 115gr. Obviously with self defense loads it's got some bite to it. But I shoot my 43 recreationally all the time. Very fun.
>>
>>33444234
/v/ is that way
>>
>>33444123
This
>>
>>33444225
you're always going to have the obligatory 'x is shit!' because, you know, their opinion is far to sophisticated for you.
>>
>>33444243
Frankly all guns in this category except maybe the LCR, which is different because it's kind of worse than everything else, feels the same to me, Glock, Smith, Beretta, heck I even rented a P320 and it was easier to rack but shot the same.

Frankly I would just get whatever is cheapest and has a good track record, though I'd recommend against the LCP.
>>
>>33444062
>I say they're shit therefore you guys shouldn't buy them.
>>
>>33444100
>>33444113
>>33444379
The gun falls in between the pocket carry category and the iwb category. If you carry in the pocket it's going to be too big. If you carry iwb, you would be better off just getting a bigger, more comfortable gun to shoot. I wouldn't buy it, so I can't recommend that anyone should, except manlets who need tiny iwb guns. I'm not going to spend $225 on a gun I don't like just because it is a good deal.
>>
>>33444263
*too

I bet you like the shield mouth breather
>>
>>33444103
Order it now to an FFL that's cool with holding it for a couple months? I don't know if it works like that but I'm spit balling here.
>>
tfw not 21
>>
So when people say the shield isn't fun, why isn't it?
Not enough recoil for you?
Too much recoil? Grip is like hugging a cactus?
>>
>>33443791
not on cuckifornia's roster
>>
>>33443988
>not a bad CC option

You'd think the larger grip would print, but the gun is so thin and small, a quality holster and a good belt makes it melt away into you.
I love it.
Now mag extensions, namely mag guts brand.
Big fat meh. The added +2 is great but their weird spring + follower produces some weird tilt issue now and again.

When did /k/ become so sure that the price of guns dictates the quality? Is it the ever falling average age of the posters?
>>
>>33445147
>So when people say the shield isn't fun, why isn't it?

Because children dont understand physics of shooting a firearm with a 3 inch barrel, or the idea of having a substantial 6.5lb trigger pull on a carry weapon.

But I guess it doesnt matter when you are 400 pounds and can swallow up a full size handgun iwb

Very good points, Im starting to agree that the shield is shit now.
>>
Just tried to buy one of these from Cabella's on Friday, since they're also on sale their (but not as good a deal). My 4473 got delayed for some reason, won't be able to pick it til thursday unless they call me sooner. Not my first firearm, not sure what the delay's about.

>>

Must be why S&W is selling so many of them huh
>>
>>33445147
This may as well be a troll thread. Before this thread and about anywhere else online, the shield was lauded as one of the more comfortable guns in this class to shoot and the M&P has a reputation for feeling really nice to most people
>>
Notice the lack of suggested "better" options in this thread
>>
>>33445561
I haven't had any issues with the Bodyguard 380, thankfully. There's something awesome about being able to get 7+1 rounds into such a small package.

Your full of fucking shit anybody here that says 9mm shield is hard to shoot never once shot one or have string bean arms.

My dad's shield shoots just like my glock 19.

I shot glock 23 years ago and was bitch to shoot I shot friends shiel in .40 and was in love with it .

The reason why the shield is is easy cause the Heavy slide and recoil spring.

>>33445630
Lc9s pro has best trigger but one of the worst recoiling sub compacts.
>>
>>33447099
there's actually a special version of the shield made just for california. it has a giant dick of a LCI on it.
>>
>>33443988

They feel like crap in my hands. That alone makes it a shit to me.
