What is the point of Glock making their slides square? Wouldn't it save money to just make it rounded off like everyone else? Big ass square wasting a shitload of metal and weighing down the gun is pants on fucking head stupid.
Nice critical defense.
>>33440706
It would then cost more to machine, I imagine.
>>33440706
Square is easier to machine.
Easier to machine means cheaper.
Cheaper means they can charge the same while spending less which means more money for them to spend on...well, I was gonna say R&D, but that just doesn't happen at Glock, so I'm just gonna assume they pay their workers slightly better.

This is why the slides are how they are. Also read:

Some models do have the edges rounded. The 36 comes to mind.

Good eye

>getting this assmad because of the word glock
Go back to school you fucking child.
If he said this stuff about some heavy parts of an L1A1 you wouldn't be throwing a tantrum
>>33440706
>glock
>heavy
Holy shit wat
Because it's
A E S T H E T I C
>>33440986
>glocks are still fucking expensive
a glock is worth upwards of 17,000 shekels in my country, how do you explain this?
>>33440706
>and weighing down the gun
weird bc Glocks are usually the lightest gun in the class.
>>33440706
No it would actually cost more to round the slide
>>33444118
You live in a shithole? Only $500 here. $420 if you use the blue label program.
>>33444095
Well the Glock is the ugliest of boxes, but other boxes are very aesthetic
>>33444907
>tfw I nabbed a full size Glock for $390 BLP
>>33445100
if you don't mind having your intelligence (>implying you have any) insulted by pointless race strip milling by all means, stick to Sig and HK.
>>33445159
I appreciate aesthetics no matter the company anon
>>33445233
caniks look like toys
>century arms
explains everything, trash guns for a trash reseller.
>>33445259
They are quality firearms anon. They deserve respect, like any well made gun.
>>33445313
sure thing muslimbro, sure thing.
>>33444121
>weird bc Glocks are usually the lightest gun in the class.
And lowest capacity too, wow, Glock Perfection, AMIRITE?
>>33445259
>caniks look like toys
And Walther looks like srs bzniz. fucking legos all around
>>33445355
really, compare the VP9 to the G17 and you'll find the VP9 takes 2 less rounds and is bigger, wider and ehavier than the Glock. Weird. where you got the idea the Glock has lower capacity is beyond me... must have been the same place you get all your handgun intel from: your anus.
>>33445369
I don't like Walther either but at least they can mill and injection mold properly. the milling on the canik is shitty and the frams are poorly cast. you can literally see the Waviness in the cast on those pics if you know a thing or two about plastics.... they mags are the only good thing about that pistol.
>>33445351
Why hate anon? The guns aren't Muslim. They're just quality tools should be appreciated, like this Beretta beauty.
>>33445462
>t. has never had to deal with muslims/shitskins from the ME
That Beretta slide is nice, the frame is stupid.
>>33445259
The Canik and CZ clones are the only good firearms the Turks make.
>>33445485
I hate Nazis, but I still respect the genius of Nazi engineers that worked on the STG44, or MG42.
>>33445531
>STG44, or MG42
neither of those are good guns.
>>33445545
They were good guns for the conditions they were built in. They're all good guns anon.
>>33440706
Then how come other manufacturers can't seem to make reliable guns with the same capacity that weigh less?
>>33446149
no they were not. the 44 beats itself to death in about 3k rds. it's also trash mechanically, a good/great gun needs to be symmetric north-south-east-west of the bore center line, not shift wedges and cam up and down. poor mechanical design that was also poorly made QC wise.
>>33445100
>Those raillzz
>aesthetic
>>33440706
>weighing the gun down.
>muh tenths of an ounce
lift more you fucking weak faggots. you millennial scum will whine about anything.
>>33448829
tee period millennial who thinks his birth year was the cut-off point for gen Y
>>33445545
MG42's are still used today by European armies from Germans to Nords...Brens are not.
>>33445259
Now explain why, compared to every other polymer striker gun, they somehow look like toys despite having some of the cleanest lines out of the bunch
>>33440706
>I clearly know jack shit about manufacturing, let alone how to make guns reliable, but I'm going to get mad at those that actually know what they're doing
