>15+1 USP45
>>
>>33429725
I'm pretty happy with how this came out, the biggest complaint about the USP45 full size is the capacity, 15+1 certainly improves that.
>>
>>33429755
>>
>>33429885
Start with an arredondo base pad for the p14
>>
>>33429725
I didn't know they made 80% lowers for USPs
>>
>>33429948
Trim the shit out of it. No special tools are required, I used a utility knife.
>>
>>33429980
Unfortunately this is the result of pushing on the base plate. Not an issue for competition or range time, but totally unacceptable for CC
>>
>>33430020
The problem is this stupid fucking plastic tab the extension uses to stay in place. So I made my own.
>>
>>33430058
This is a comparison of the length
>>
>>33430075
This is the most I could get it to shift after installing the new part (made from a crossman pellet tin)

>>
>>33430591
Thanks, I'm pretty stoked about it.
>>
>>33429725
Huh, that looks nice. Start selling them.
>>
>>33430895
I'm considering getting a mill and doing them out of aluminum
>>
>>33429725
I'm surprised others haven't done this for the USP yet. But the aftermarket seems to avoid H&K like the plague.
>>
>>33431263
Have you ever seen the HKPro forums? I shit you not one asshole killed a tgread on this exact topic with

>Whah dun you need 15 rounds, it's fourteh fayve!
I saw that at least twice just looking for more on this, and while I'm not the first to do this conversion, you never get actual pictures. Try looking for a USP45 jetfunnel modification, sure people say they have done it, but not a single picture or guide exists.
FUCK the online HK community, they actively hurt themselves out of sheer arrogance and incompetence
>>
>>33431263
>>33431287
I actually love USPs but keep getting pushed away from buying one for this reason.
>>
>>33431303
If it helps the next thing I will be doing is a jetfunnel on my USP45, then a compensator on a jarvis threaded barrel, then I'll experiment with other baseplate extensions. It will all be heavily documented.

My goal is to build the ultimate. 45 carry gun, 255gr hard cast .45 super for bears and moose, 230gr gold dot .45 super for people, 15+1 capacity and just enough modern features.

>255gr hard cast underwood is pushing 1100fps in this gun
>The 230 hollow points are pushing slightly under 1150
>Both have less felt recoil than my 1911
>>
>>33431303
This literally only affects the .45 full size
>>
>>33431287
It's like that time that faggot on hkparts.net bought hundreds of those P7 pistols and sold them under the table en masse for like 4 times the buying price

He got busted by the ATF for selling without a license and went to prison I think, wish I could find the arrest summary where it listed all of the weapons he had in his possession.
>>
>>33431362
He had something like $180,000 cash, several pounds of silver, over 200 NIB P7's, and a bunch of other shit. I think he got 30 years for it, which isn't long enough, fuck him.

HK firearms are truly fucking fantastic, but the community makes me want to bomb people. I'm sure muslimbro feels the same.
>>
>>33431287
>>33431400
What. The. Fuck.
Is HKpro just the most retarded place on the Internet?
>>
>>33431431
I mean they aren't wrong. What does 15 rounds of .45 accomplish that 12 can't. Truthfully all you need is the standard 7
>>
>>33431447
Solid bait anon
>>
>>33431431
they are 1000% all factory reps larping as real h&k enthusiasts.

seriously, there are eight real living h&k nerds and fifty thousand k&k employees on orders to impersonate not less than three fanbois on the internet.

we have three of them here on /k/ (plus one of the eight living legitimate h&k customers who can't get enough of that hate cock.) one factory rep is especially energetic and impersonates five fandweebs so that is how every h&k thread has twelve posters who constantly sick the oberndorf ding ding.

here's one of them now.

Why not mk23
>>
>>33431431
>Just buy more mags
>>
>>33431474
Wtf did you just say to me you botch. I have you know I was a navy seal with 300 confirmed kills. I have at my disposal the entire arsenal of the marine corps. I will track you down and unleash hell. Electrical infetterance, I don't think that's a word. And he said"oh, like your doing right now". I was shocked
>>
>>33431481
Because I don't like the controls, I'm going to be converting this to V4 so I can carry DA-SA like my Sig but keep the control lever out of the way of my thumbs
>>
>>33431431
Wow, it's as if they're entirely unaware of open class pistol competitions. Blows my fucking mind.
>>
>>33431431
Bunch of fucking faggots there.
>>
>>33431722
The guy goes on to explain that's what he wants to do, and they continue to go full retard
>>
>>33431431
They've internalized the "because you suck, and we hate you" attitude HK has towards their customers.
>>
>>33436190
The problem with that is HK doesn't have that attitude at all.

>>33429725
Just took a quick measurement, basepad adds exactly 3/4" to the prifile of the firearm.
>>
>>33429725
We should get a height comparison between this and the FNX45, I have a feeling the FN is finally totally outmatched by the USP.

>>33437470
Took me about an hour to do because I was only going off a picture I saw months ago where someone fit the same grip to an FAL. Now that I've got a good idea how to do it I could probably get it in 20-30 minutes. It's basically a shitton of filing and using a pair of bolts as crush washers to get it screwed to the receiver
>>
>>33437500
You should do a detailed writeup on it with pictures so other people don't have to wing it like you did, it would be pretty cool of you to add to the collective knowledge base for DIY gun work.
>>
>>33437625
Eh, I doubt many people care to actually do it, plus it's not hard so much as just tedious. Most of the filing has to be done on the 1/3" lip to get the ring around the screw to be able to settle into the grip, which is where most of the time is spent. after that it's just taking a round file and grinding back the inner screw hole to it's pushed far enough forward for you, and then grinding down the gap in the front for the trigger guard and trigger spring to fit inside

And depending where you settle with your grip position, you might have to grind the lip at the forward left of the grip for the safety to be able to get into fire position, but with where mine is it's perfectly positioned to fit flush with the grip and lock into the fire position
>>
>>33431348
Not really, I want 20-round 9mm mags like the Mec-gars for Sigs and Berettas. And I want an integrated pic rail, no adapter bullshit. I don't think I'm alone either. I still can't find any legit mag extensions out there for the 9mm mags. Even the P30/VP9 have them (TF and HK parts make them). I just wish there was a better aftermarket. Not to mention holsters.
>>
>>33438065
You can get 18 round mags for the 9mm and the adapter is actually better than integrated since it gives you a metal mounting point.

Also, if you hate money this is an option.

BCM uses a single piece, double keymod nut sort of thing.

The tops of the nut are larger than an MLok slot, so they can keep it from just falling through the slot.

However, there wasn't enough range of motion trying to pivot it into the slot.

Share time.

I converted this Yugo M85 to use Hungarian wood. Centerfire had the wood sets for $9.99 but they're sold out now. To make the pistol grip work all I had to do was remove the spacer that's installed where the screw goes. Can pry that right out. Now to fit the handguard I had to do a bunch of filing and cutting away with a coping saw, and it's not 100% perfect but it does work. That is one of those cheap chinese picatinny scope ring rail things acting as a clamp for the much shorter hungarian top handguard. I had the cheap Sightmark already but I think with a low profile optic like a fastfire I could probably co-witness if I wanted to, but I don't care enough to do so.

Then, because I'm not ghetto enough as is, I took an old Samsonite suitcase I found at a yard sale for $1, inserted some cushion foam from an old cushion that was no longer used, and cut it with an exacto knife. The cushioning has been secured with Gorilla Glue because I didn't have actual foam glue stuff on hand. It works though.

Because I had room, I made a little cutout for a Raven MP-25 pistol. Case holds the Raven, one magazine for it, two 20 rounders for the AK, one guerilla taped 30x2 mag thingy for the AK, and the AK.

The End.

To get a little more range of motion, I opened up a channel on the side of the keymod nut, being careful not to touch the tops as they don't offer much overhang for MLok slots.

Took 2/3 test fits, on the last one it slipped through like it should. I proceeded to install.

If anyone else does this, just use a relatively thin file and a vise if you have one to gently hold the piece.

You will also need to file down the plastic keymod "recoil lug" that doesn't space in MLok right.

>>
>>33440643
As far as "why"

KAG is my favorite foregrip, but my own particular brand of autism

1. Doesn't like Keymod
2. Doesn't like adding unnecessary rail sections to MLok

So for about 25 min worse I got my favorite grip to work with my favorite Modular attachment system

Did that one Tuesday, function test rifle about 120 rounds innawoods Wednesday. Tried pulling real hardcore pushing real hard, using it as a barrier stop to support my weight, wouldn't budge, it's seated in nice and tight.

I also opened up a small channel on front of keymod nut to give it a little more purchase on MLok

Sorry to repost, but obviously not sorry enough to not so it.

I think I figured out some of the hammer fall resistance I was having. Over travel screw adjustment seemed to be screwed all the way in and was fucking with the fcg.

Also got my 3x MBX mags in but they've definitely got some adjustments to be made. Follower seems a bit fucky and springs aren't pointing it where it should be.

Uspsa/3-gun Limited.

I've never done HK guns but they seem fun. I did blue this cz 75 that had a beat to shit finish prior. I still had the waffle grips and original trigger so I could return it to a semi-original configuration.

Stump remover and drain cleaner (potassium nitrate and sodium hydroxide) in water at 295F for 15 minutes each side for bluing.
>>
>>33441026
They are pretty easy to work with, but there is fucking zero aftermarket for the .45

I want to get it tuned up for open division steel challenge and maybe USPSA.

The CZ looks beautiful, nice job.

Cool. It's nice to see others tinkering with guns. I've never understood the obsession with treating guns like they can't be worked on by anyone but a gunsmith. Granted, I can appreciate the possible consequences of fucking up.

>. I've never understood the obsession with treating guns like they can't be worked on by anyone but a gunsmith.
When I posted about modifying magazine extensions from other guns for my USP45 to give it acceptable capacity I had people yelling about how they aren't made for my gun so I need to stop because it's impossible.
Now I have a USP45 with FNX45 capacity. Fuck them and fuck 90% of the casual tools on this board.

And yeah, fully understand the consequences of screwing up myself, I've broken a couple of firearms and accessories trying to fix or improve them myself.

>>33441192
HK has never had that attitude. The VP9 is cheaper than a G17 and the USP (the poster child for overpriced Krautshit) was specifically designed to compete with mid price handguns.
