Last time I went I was shooting WWB and Silverbear with my SLR104 and FNX, only max 40 yards so no need for top shelf shit, especially in a 20 dollar just for fun event

But a lot of the targets were ranged so it simulated shooting farther at least, and one stage did push out to 150 yards I believe it was for rifle

Also adding in noshoot targets made it a shitton more fun, cause you weren't just shooting at exposed silhouettes most of the time

i can see my buddy get up out of ravine and rush the shed as i do suppressive fire left most of the shed and stop firing as my buddy get close to shed.
now i know my buddy is behind shed reloading as I reload. when i finish reloading he would be too. I start firing at window and bottom of window with care as i see my buddy come out behind of shed at west side I stop firing.

Got a funny story about fishing. My Dad and I went out to the Everglades for a weekend just to canoe around the swamp. We get through a mangrove tunnel and have been fishing for like 30 minutes in this clearing with not a sound besides nature and then we start hearing this really strange and faint clunking sound. Goes on for about 20 minutes and gets progressively louder until finally like 12 metal canoes come out of where we came from. Some Ranger guided tour and this clearing in the middle of nowhere went from having 2 people in it to like 20 in a minute. Then they head further on through the tunnels and we are completely alone again. Just so strange being out in the middle of nowhere and then having enough people and canoes to fill this clearing before they all disappear again.

reloading is done before i even pop out. and when i do I'm already aiming my rifle at their direction and only need little correction as i actually see them. as i see them they see me. as I see them i quickly zip myself back behind cover again.

my reaction time is .28 sec
i already know to zip back behind cover if they are up. there's no "assessing". me moving back behind cover after only partially exposing myself aiming and peeking out wouldnt take more than .42 sec again not taking in account their reaction time let say they have .28sec reaction time too then that give me .7sec then assuming their shot is right on my small target size partially out of cover at 500 fucking yards plus windage.

this is not hard to understand.

being cautious and quick make it very hard for them to hit me.

if they do zap me they are lucky or got mad skillz and deserve getting me.

Not to mention I could get my hat and faking me peeking and quickly zip back behind cover few time high and low each side of the boulder getting their barrel hot or until they figure out they been had and stop firing I put on the hat and aiming pop up on top of boulder and suppress them.

Not to mention if they are too good I could pause a little wait a moment for them get fatigued if their position arent comfortable and prepare a sprint to ditch including strapping my rifle on back tight diggin my feet in ground and take up pre-sprint posture and bolt to ditch as they face unfavorable odd and condition to hit fast moving thin target at 500yds when they expect me pop out and shoot at them instead of sprinting. they probably didn't set up their rifle or are prepared to pan.

Reaction time+bullet flight time+wind+not most accurate rifle or ammo+ unexpected full horse sprinting fast moving thin target= all in my favor.

The ASR mount is shit because it's a shitty design. The entire system relies on those 6 tiny locking teeth that bend and flex away from the opposing teeth on the mounts. SiCo's fix for this is to tell you "durrr uhhh bend the teeth back maybe". Which works great until your next range session when they bend right back again and your mount comes loose. Ask me how I know. It's fucking trash.
