I've got a guy offering me a Norinco 320 for my Century C39V1. Any ideas if this is a good trade? I love rarer guns but I don't want to trade a cheapshit badly made rifle for a cheapshit badly made Uzi, if that's what it is.
I know Norinco used to make surprisingly good stuff for a Chinese company. Any thoughts if this is a good trade? Anyone know what the quality on the 320's are? He says it comes with 3 stocks and 3 mags.
>>33418851
do it.
they are good guns and the fact it comes with so much makes its a fantastic deal.
>>33418851
Holy hell yes do it. You're practically ripping the guy off
>>33418905
>>33418874
Random online "luckygunner" and other dubious gun sites say that they're hit and miss quality. Since it has 3 stocks, it likely has had the conversion process done to it already.
Anyone know of any truth to this?
>>33418851
>>33418977
Dew it.
Hit and miss yeah, century is a fucking clear miss. Its a chink made uzi. Thats awesome.
>>33419197
Oooookay. I'll ask for pics and get some info together. If it all looks good, cya century.
I would trade something that is literal shit, for something that is potentially awesome but at worst is a sidegrade for another piece of shit.
>>33419523
But I'll be out of an AK tho
>>33419688
Post contact info if ur not gonna go through with it. I'm serious.
>>33419688
A cheapshit $600 easily replaceable mass produced ak, not a firearm that is no longer able to be imported or even made. Trade it and flip it on gunbroker you idiot. Sell the stocks separate on some forum.
>>33418851
>I know Norinco used to make surprisingly good stuff for a Chinese company.
Not familiar with the firearm you're looking at, but keep in mind that NORINCO is not just some company, but the main state-owned weapons manufacturing concern in China. Their quality control might be higher than you'd expect.
>>33418851
is it a preban or ban model?
>>33419984
I'd assume ban model but no idea. I don't think he knows either. Dumping a couple pics he sent. Looks like we're going to trade tomorrow more than likely.
You better SBR that motherfucker, OP.
>>33421655
I dunno if I will. Without full auto, having a tiny 8 inch barrel subgun loses most of it's value. It's pretty much a glock with a stock at that point
But if I leave the long barrel on, sure it's not traditional, but you at least get almost .357 magnum equivalency out of a 9mm semi auto carbine
>>33421898
Is that barrel actually fully rifled or is it a welded on extension?
>>33421917
How the fuck do you "weld a barrel extension on"
>>33418851
GRAB THE FUCKING CHINK UZI
>>33422073
First you take a welder, then you take your barrel and a piece of steel pipe and TZZZZZZZZZZZZZT, barrel extension.
That's what the cucks at TNW did with the Suomis.
>>33418851
Norinco Uzis aren't perhaps as nice as IMI, or older Vector builds, but they're quite adequate.
The Uzi is a simple gun, and Norinco hasn't really put out any simple guns with serious problems, they get how to stamp sheet steel.
You should seriously go for it, fucking steal of a deal, with a bit of effort and searching, you can convert it to classic looks, with either the folding stock or the old fixed one.
The only downside with the Norinco Uzi that I seem to recall is that the barrel nut is spot welded on, so if you want to SBR it some day, you'd need to get someone to break the weld, or chop the barrel and recrown it.
Someone will bring up 922r but he can fuck off because no private person in the history of the universe has been caught and prosecuted for 922r and 922r alone.
How are you even thinking twice about this?
>>33419688
You're trading away a shit AK, you can save up for some rugged Zastava somewhere down the line and have a substantially better rifle than the C39.
What you're getting is a nice plinker.
>>33418977
NIGGER EVEN IF IT DIDN'T HAVE THREE STOCKS IT'S STILL A BETTER DEAL
Norinco values are only going up. If you don't do the trade you're a fucking idiot IMO.
>>33418851
Just do the trade. As others have said, Norincos are going up in value as they can no longer be imported.
It'll be great.
>>33421633
Is it bad that I think this thumbhole stock is kind of sexy
>Some dogshit Burger company's first attempt at making a milled AK mutt that looks like a complete abortion and was shat out not three years ago
vs.
>Prettyneat Chink copy of an Jewgat that isn't being made anymore and hasn't been imported in decades
What the fuck kind of question is this?
>>33421633
>comes with folding -and- the sexy earlier wood stock
Why the fuck are you not jumping on this holy shit
>>33418851
>all chinese stuff is junk
When will this meme die
>>33421898
8" is frankly pretty long for 9mm Luger already, eventually you kind of max out the performance you get.
You could probably get more from beyond 8", but consider the following; will the extra velocity be useful to you? Would you hunt with it? Would it be your HD gun?
Because otherwise, as a target and plinker gun, an Uzi with a factory 8" barrel, or a properly shortened and recrowned 16" barrel, will perform just as well.
Consider also that if the HPA passes, an Uzi makes a pretty solid suppressor host, 147gr subsonics can be pretty quiet.
The only if on that part is if the Norinco had spotwelds on the barrel nut or not.
>>33418851
>C39V1
C39s are pretty shit, but you don't even have the V2 that fixed the issues the earlier one had? That other guy is practically begging you to rape him, do it right goddamn now

Okay okay okay. Fine.
We're meeting up tomorrow at noon to trade. If this thread is somehow still alive by then, I'll update with pics.
On another note, anyone know if these take standard uzi mags? It comes with 3 32 rounders but I'd like to pick up some more. At work at the moment but googling "Norinco 320 mags" doesn't yield much
This is not OP but I figured this would be the best thread to ask this question
So my grandpa passed away and I inherited his handgun, it's a norinco type 54-1 (tokarev knockoff). It's chambered in 9mm, and has what I think are updated grips (pic related - don't have pic of my own gun but it looks like this, wraparound plastic grip instead of the default panel grips)
The gun is in nearly perfect condition, took it out to range and put 150 cheap rds through it and not a single hiccup, it's more accurate than I thought it would be too.
So out of curiosity, what is this worth now, and what will it be worth in the future? I don't plan on parting with it any time soon, but who knows 30 years down the road? And my second question is where could I find some nice wood panel grips for it? I think it would look sexy
>>33423260
>anyone know if these take standard uzi mags?
They should.
You could even modify some Colt SMG mags and they should work.
Also you might want to pick up a 25rd magazine just to see how it's like to bench shoot with one.
>>33423266
You could probably get them for like 250 or so if it's in 9mm, give or take maybe 25 for condition.
>>33423069
>is it bad
Hell no, that stock is hot as fuck. Works especially well with the long barrel, too.
Alright boys. Got some close ups. Dumping.
>>33425270
Neat as heck, hope it's a good one.
>>33425224
Put the wood on that bitch
>>33423266
But it's not a knock off, just a variant. Can't speek for the 9mm models but standard 7.62x25 chink toks are pretty good quality.
>>33425270
rad/10
>>33418851
I saw you post this shit on facebook you faggot
>>33426136
What shit? The Norinco?
