Frequently remind yourself that you are a complete newbie, and enlisted E-3 and above are actually more experienced and more skilled and sometimes better leaders than you - that's not to say just give up and cede authority to them, but you gotta swallow your pride enough to learn from them. But mostly, you will learn from your experienced NCOs teaching you about how it really works. Whatever leadership assignment you have is important, and requires you to do your shit perfectly while being a senior figure for a bunch of jackasses of varying quality and varying IQ. You have to be a boss to a mixed group of Joe Privates and professional NCOs, while fulfilling the demands of your superior officers.
