I remember what you're talking about though, put the AP attachment on the 10mm, and a suppressor, and you can basically one hit any standard armored goon with a headshot. Even the bulky heavy troops could only take like 2 or 3.

Which, not gonna lie, was a little disappointing (like the rest of the game). So many cool weapons, but, in just about any scenario where you weren't being assaulted while behind cover, you only needed that based pistol.

I'm still pissed that JJ Abrams was too much of a normie casual to adapt the Gary Mitchell storyline for Star Trek Into Darkness.

Have resentful, nuTrek Spock be taken in by Section 13 after an accident causes him to take on greatly increased psychic powers. Have Section 13 plan to use him as a secret weapon, while Spock's weakening grasp of his increasingly godlike abilities causes him to become angry and resentful at the Federation for being unable to save his home planet and people.

He loses control of his powers, and it's up to Kirk now to kill his best friend before he kills everyone. Kirk succeeds with the help of the Q, who take Spock's new, godlike self away to a higher plane of existence. Spock still (essentially) dies,, but now it's in the way that Gary Mitchell did, instead of like in TWOK.

Bonus points: Star Trek: Beyond is now The Search For Spock, only taking a completely different story as Kirk et al, on the run from the Klingons who are hell bent on taking out the now-weakened Federation, try to merge Spock's lingering spirit with a new body, grown by another of Section 13's projects, a genetic augment whose blood can revive the dead.

There, now NuTrek is actually better than the OG movies, instead of being stupid re-hashes.

At least the prequels tried to be something huge (a series of family adventures that contain a 1930s or 40s-style sprawling tragedy about how love drives people to hate and resentment, and how fear and uncertainty drives democracies towards fascism) and got burned by the sun as their ambitions flew too high.
