Well?
Maybe shit tier chink metal, idk.
blowback conversion. nothing to see here.
Grinding the lugs off makes it fullauto.
A fudd happened to this shit
hard to say but it was definitely a brittle failure. If the gun was operating in spec I would say shitty heat treatment. Or it was bubbas red dot handload with excessive head space.

Just proves ARs are shit. Every see the lugs sheer off on a Model 98, I don't thinks so. How can the Germans make a gun in the 19th century that lasts even today but Americunts can't make an AR bolt that lasts the life of its barrel, hmmm?

You being dense nigger?

xddddddddddd

I'm confused. What would have enough force to blow off the lugs and rims of the bolt, but not enough force to blow off the extractor? It feels like it would be exactly the opposite. No carbon either, so it's not like a case failed.

Please don't tell me someone actually did this

I wanna say someone forced a .300 blackout into a .223/5.56 chamber and it kaboomed
>>33411009
This
The lugs exhibit brittle failure, are not ground down
Someone trying to use a 9mm blowback conversion or something in a 5.56 barrel?
>>33410711
This is why you buy carpenter 158 bolt heads that have been shot peened and magnetic particle tested
>>33410711
Looks like a cast bolt, cheap as cheap can be.

Too short a gas system?
Bolts fail like that in SBRs a lot. Not all of the teeth usually, but it shears them right off if the gas system is fucky.

Mark 18s shear bolt lugs.

>reliabolt
Literally no fucking reason to watch beyond the first 10 seconds. Sharps Reliabolt has proven itself time and time again to be an utterly dogshit design, even in highly tuned 3-gun setups running heavy buffers, dissipator gas systems, intermediate length systems etc.
That has nothing to do with your typical 10.5-12.5 Carbine gas SBR being overgassed to shit. Well, it does, but in case of Reliabolt, hardly.
Why don't people with SBR+cans get one of those adjustable BCGs? I know I would.
>>33411779
That one is adjustable. The lugs are turned all the way down in the photo.
>>33411826
CAdjustable BCG" I said, not "trimmed bolt"
Big ping marks on the back of that extractor, it was hitting something forcefully as it cycled.
>>33411751
Whats different about it compared to a regular bolt? Isn't it just an NP3-coated bolt?
>>33412869
No. The lugs are beveled front to back, leaving only about 50% of the mass on each lug.
Now, in theory, it should work, considering they haven't touched the rear locking surfaces that are actually important.
Practice shows otherwise, and the Reliabolt is known for fragility and breakage.

Everytime I see shit like this, I always immediately assume someone handloaded a hotload
