Go home ATF

Can civvies not buy cs grenades?

Not for as little as bare mace and a lighter.

Firework unlikely to reliably pierce pressure vessel
Suggestion- wrap mace can in a petroleum-impregnated cloth and ignite.
Heating will cause vessel to rupture.
There will be a slight fragment hazard.
Note that flammable solvent or propellant gas will ignite on rupture consuming active agent instead of spreading it.

So you just overcomplicated a molotov only to add shrapnel?

EODfag
Yeah, basically.
Aerosol cans of mace have to be reasonably strong to withstand the internal pressure and transportation shocks etc, so a firework sufficient to rupture and vent the vessel will be a blast/frag hazard anyway.

What if op weakens the vessel, like filing away a little material in the shape of a cross or something?
Just buy a shitton of dried ghost/naga pepper, grind it up and stuff it in a sandwich baggie (the shitty kind with no ziploc) with no airspace. Then tie THAT to the firecracker, or shove the firecracker into the bag with the fuse sticking out. Ez pz.

Was hoping for a quickly deployable and easily timed detonation. Seems easier to measure the fuse of a firecracker than guess how long the heat of a soaked rag will take. Also would like to minimize fire risk.
Possible other suggestions?
Why don't you just, like, spray people with the mace.

Also, look up black eggs. Eggshell hollowed out, filled with crushed glass, chili powder, etc., then crushed and thrown into somebody's eyes. Similar principles might work for you--air cannon that fires egg is easy

No but they can buy mace granades
