Truly China has what it takes to be the lone superpower. Chinese Research and Development are one of a kind, able to indigenously make technology that even America would drool for. >avionics

How is it any worse than the F-22A avionics? Unless your including the RWR/ECM suite, then yeah the F-22A bests it.
Radar, FCS, and flight controls are just as good.

>Engines

Yes, that is until the new WS-13(?) engines come out to replace the uprated WS-10(?) engines it's using now. Then it'll have thrust vectoring as well, completing the match up with the F-22A/-35 series (except for the RWR/ECM suite, still haven't seen any evidence of that stuff yet).

>>33399463
J-20A will get produced slowly as they iron out more flaws and wait for the new engines to reach maturity.

The CAC is already expanding the J-20 factory so it's easy to guess that they'll be producing a hell of a lot more of the bastards.. Probably J-20B's unless Trump hints at war, then they'll just shit out J-20A airframes and not wait for the maturing process to finish.

Interesting read:

http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/7364/chinas-own-catfish-flying-avionics-testbed-for-the-j-20-fighter-emerges

The J-20 basically used a similiar avionics testbed as the F-22, which also utilized a cockpit mounted canard-mount that tested the F-22's ALR-94 electronic support measures suite.

Basically, the J-20's avionics are roughly similiar to the F-22, with the addition of IRST and EODAS.

It's not a united front, some do and some (maybe most) don't. They oppose the party more than the country.

The government and elite are pro-China, more or less. They don't listen to the public when it comes to China, they just do what they want and follow Beijing's lead. Basically they're just waiting until people get used to not having any say in shit.

>There will never be a US China war.
I used to think that for various reasons but I'm not quite sure anymore. It would be a fucking high stakes war but the advantages to either victorious side could be high.

If China wins, it can immediately retake Taiwan and the SCS and establish a powerbase that would be unchallenged. It would also become the world super-power overnight, USA would also be forced into some defensive wars on several fronts as various places exploit a temporary reduction in forces to kick USA out of anywhere that they're not wanted.

If USA wins, China is contained and USA becomes unchallenged and writes off a fuck load of debt. Possibly, the CCCP collapses and China disintegrates. The pieces of China would be much easier to exploit for exactly the kind of manufacturing bases and cheap labor that they've been selling for years. USA's nearest competitor for global dominance is BTFO.

It's probably in USA's interests to start a war right fucking now. China is catching up faster than USA can innovate ahead and if enough time passes, China could potentially be on an even technological footing with a larger economy one day.

Any delay, lessens the advantage of the incumbent.

Didn't Singapore and Belgium cancel the orders of F35's?
>>
>>33410591

Singapore has put ordering it on hold, but on balance it is probably going to get some eventually. Unlike some customers they don't urgently need new aircraft, their newer F-16s have plenty of life left, and their F-15Es have still got that new-jet smell. There are also decisions like what variants to buy, for a country the without strategic depth like Singapore, making at least some of their buy F-35Bs does make sense however that will cost a lot more (both due to the jets themselves being more expensive, and the extra costs of having a mixed fleet) and are less capable than the A in "normal" flight.

To the best of my knowledge, the F-35 is by far the frontrunner still in Belgium, especially since the Dutch have confirmed their F-35 buy. I don't know the details though.

China cannot control its Asian neighbors militarily. Even if it could defeat their militaries it would be impossible for them to occupy the countries and control their economies. It stands to gain much more by further integrating their economies into its own peacefully.

>USA would also be forced into some defensive wars on several fronts as various places exploit a temporary reduction in forces to kick USA out of anywhere that they're not wanted.
Even without direct intervention the US could easily make an occupation more costly to China than it would be worth, why would it be forced into defensive wars? It's not as if China can or would threaten the US mainland. And the only place the US isn't wanted where they would have to be kicked out of is the Middle East, where China is obviously not capable of direct military intervention of any sort.

>If USA wins, China is contained and USA becomes unchallenged and writes off a fuck load of debt.
China is already contained by its corrupt political system. The issues the US has to deal with (especially in terms of debt) have relatively little to do with China.

>Possibly, the CCCP collapses and China disintegrates. The pieces of China would be much easier to exploit for exactly the kind of manufacturing bases and cheap labor that they've been selling for years.

So Asia turns into a second Middle East. Yeah, that sounds really fucking appealing for the US... You know that stability is a key requirement for a manufacturing base, right? Anyway, the idea of China as the world's factory floor is about 5-10 years out of date, low cost manufacturing is moving to Africa, and high tech manufacturing is moving back to the US.

> China is catching up faster than USA can innovate ahead and if enough time passes

The US political and economic system is set up to foster innovation. The Chinese system is set up to do the opposite.

>China could potentially be on an even technological footing with a larger economy one day.

China already has trouble creating an economy to compete with the US when they have several times the population and they have a huge demographic crisis approaching. The US culture and immigration policies allow it to replenish its demographics with immigrants.

Going to war wouldn't be in either country's interest, America's least of all. The most you're likely to see is dick waving in order to influence other countries in the region.

F-35 is also quite the wrong aircraft to counter attacking J-20 aircraft.

It will be interesting to see if countries like Japan are capable of producing better matching stealth fighters.

You do realize that China has set up de facto colonies in Africa, right?

They're more like proto-refuge camps than colonies.

I sure do. I also seem to have noticed that they're doing it peacefully, not by invading. Huh.

Because civil war along racial lines is nothing, but China having a bit extra men will destroy them

Average IQ in the US has dropped rapidly among the young
Maybe up to 3-4 points.

But hey thats progress I guess, deny all the problems, insist that nothing negative can ever happen in the west, that the state will always take care of everything..

>Because civil war along racial lines is nothing, but China having a bit extra men will destroy them

It's not about the skewed male/female ratio, it's about the age pyramid. How is China going to afford taking care of all those old people? The US has decided to do it by bankrupting itself, China certainly can't follow that model.

>deny all the problems, insist that nothing negative can ever happen in the west, that the state will always take care of everything..

I never said that, and certainly didn't mean to imply that the US has no problems, so excuse me. I merely pointed out that the problems the US has to deal with are not caused by China, nor would they be solved by going to war with China. The same applies to China, starting a war with the US isn't going to make anything better for them.

To say that it would be in the best interests of either country to start a war is fucking stupid.
