This is actually a huge issue to me.

>right to bear arms

>except in this state, no knives over 3" in blade length, no butterfly type knives, no knives with automatic opening devices, etc.

>but yes, you have the right to bear arms

I want to carry my sword

I thought this was America

Can't carry a knife of any kind in britain or australia. It's stupid that everyone else has to be disarmed just because it would be politically incorrect to disarm only the middle eastern people who go around stabbing people.

Because of them they took off most knives off the unlawful carry list, now i can carry a sword cane if i so chose to.

They also made spring assisted knives and balisongs legal too.

They are the best knife advocacy group and one of the best weapon advocacy groups today. They are very effective and successful in their campaigns.

They have legalized switchblades in almost 10 states now and helped pass laws making it legal to carry any knife in a number of states. Knife rights played a roll in passing pretty much unlimited knife/weapon conceal carry in my state and are trying to help pass a reciprocity bill right now to stop municipalities from making sticker laws.

I think they are effective partly because most democrats don't care about knives and are willing to let these bills pass without being jackasses.

Just read a post on /out/ about them last night. Did a bit of research, I am fucking impressed. They've managed to uncuck knife laws in more than a few states.

I love them

Life member

I buy $100-$200 in raffle tickets for the last 3 years and have won 6 knives with a MSRP of over $5000 (prices undoubtedly inflated, but hand forged Damascus is hand forged Damascus).

Good Cause, great yearly raffle. Check out last years prize list

When are they going to do something about Switch blade bans which were passed on racist assumptions?

Their front page shows all of their battles about switchblades. Some win, some lose.
>>
>>33394850
Over here in based TN we got rid of ALL of our knife laws. I could just walk around with a claymore if i had enough autism
>>
>>33401743
So you have it with you about half the time?
>>
>>33394850
You sure that's the case? A lot of states have similar laws, except they only apply to carrying the knives concealed. Still bullshit, but not quite as bullshit.
>>
Wedges of steel should not be regulated
>>
>>33400552
Because in 2014 they made it legal for you to carry automatic knives and knives over 4 inches.
>>
>>33397261
That's nice. I almost got excited, since it looks like the knife language used in the MD laws. I still don't get why dirk needs to be separately mentioned after they say "dagger", but it's better than the britcuck "death stars".

and the lie detector found out that was a lie! i'm in cali and you can't have anything over 3.5, no butterfly, no fully assisted, etc. i got shit for my cheapo mtech survival knife (sharpened it and it's the sharpest blade i have, beats most of my SOGs and i use it on everything.

anyways, cali sucks knifes or guns, maybe if you're all the way up north, otherwise...
>>
>>33394850
maybe if you walk around town with a sword more people will buy guns

For reference, Washington does not allow OTF switchblades, butterfly knives, brass knuckles, blackjacks, or saps to be carried in public. Everything else is fair game.

They stuck to what is traditionally viewed as gangbanger or gangster weapons.

Also, no concealing weapons over six feet in length. It's a felony charge.
>>
>>33409454
>Also, no concealing weapons over six feet in length. It's a felony charge.

Fuck, do they include the tripod? I need to know if I have to go take the camouflage netting off of my M2 encampment.

if you could i would arrest you too.

You can't have anything over 3.5"? Who told you that bullshit? You do know that Cold Steel is a California corporation with its headquarters in Ventura, right? Last I checked, they sell knives a lot bigger than 3.5". Also, you can possess a butterfly knife if you like, you just have to leave it at home and not carry it around with you. And "got shit"? What does that mean? From who? How? Did you get arrested? Convicted?

Anyhow, the bottom line on knives in California is that you can open carry any fixed blade knife, and concealed carry any folding knife. Full auto switchblades are illegal, but spring-assisted folders (like the H&K badged Benchmade ones that Big 5 sells) are fine.
>>
>California
>retarded tier gun laws

one of these days there's going to be a false flag mass stabbing and that's what's going to trigger it

>What does /k/ think of Knife Rights?
They are arms. Firearm had been a term at the time of writing for over 110 years. The word choice was deliberate.
>>
>>33409578
but can you carry your issued sabre?
>>
>>33394768
>What does /k/ think of Knife Rights?

I don't think about them, because Arizona allows any kind of concealed knife including switchblades and butterflys.

People who live in states that don't allow you to carry whatever kind of knife you want should worry about knife rights.
