If you were actually and genuinely concerned about the effectiveness of an intermediate caliber ak, you would buy one in 5.56.

As cool and novel 5.45 is, it pales in comparison to 5.56's effectiveness and general load variety. It isn't 1983 anymore, 7N6 isn't the cool new load and it's as outdated as Hydrashoks are. Be glad that you at least have VMAX 5.45.

If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have ever bought an SGL31 and gotten a 5.56 Arsenal or better yet, more ammo for my AR with that money.
