For the uninitiated, our President said something stupid during his Presidential address a few weeks ago (that white land would be taken without compensation) and /pol/ is taking it way too seriously. Here's the thing: Zuma is probably senile and his entire ANC party is coming unglued due to his indictment in multiple corruption scandals. Also, he won't ever move on uncompensated redistribution because it'd cause foreign investors (whom his party uses as a cash machine) to flee.

That said, a civil conflict isn't out of the cards. The local communist party, the EFF, is run by a former ANC youth organizer who went into business for himself. His platform is evicting foreign investors (especially the ones who own the coal mines which power the country). He'll likely deny ANC a 50% majority to form a government in 2019, which will cause Zuma to try governing as a minority party. EFF will have none of this and move towards terrorism, which will be met with bullets.

Whites will be fine since the EFF's target is are places of ANC power: schools, party offices, airports, universities. If Zuma actually attempted to fuck over whites/nonblacks all it would do is cause my province (which is a black minority) to secede with the support of England and China (ie, foregin investors). Alternatively, there's always Naimbia, Zambia, and Angola to immigrate to.

Actually if you read Thomas Sowell's Black Rednecks and White Liberals there was a point in time (lasting about 5 years) where Blacks and Whites in the US (in the northern states) lived peacefully with each other. No racism or discrimination occurred at all.

It unfortunately did change when a lot of the blacks in southern states were out of work and went north to find jobs. It destroyed the black image of being proper and able to co-exist with whites in peace. As you had uneducated, illiterate, and sometimes violent people interacting with people in northern states.

Blacks murder whites at a rate of 9 to 55. If the ratio was less than a tenth, it would be 5.5 to 55. 9 is almost double that. Blacks have twice the ratio of cross racial murder that whites do.

High forms of discipline were enforced, fighting, sexual misconduct were grounds for expulsion. They learned to speak clearly and coherently.

The attitudes and culture the blacks found themselves in were a result of hanging around "crackers" or rednecks of the time. Whom also were uneducated, spoke with slurred and fractured words.

The problem also is that you attribute these attitudes with blacks only. Especially with regards to blacks being called "uncle toms" or "being too white". You can find these same issues even amongst white people in Britain. Which Thomas Sowell points out.

All it is, (in the poor neighbourhoods) were kids trying to learn and get educated. Due to the indoctrination the kids were getting of being "victims of society" they bullied and beat anyone who appeared or acted smarter than them. Trying to study and get better grades? You'll get your ass kicked. Trying to read a book and increase your vocabulary and literacy? You'll get your ass kicked. It is more of a class warfare then race warfare. However, the same rules apply.

Those blacks that become far more successful get out of the crumby neighbourhoods first. They save and scrounge to afford a new house/apartment in a new neighbourhood so their children are not in that environment.

I agree the environment is what allows these issues to continue. Why do you think there was such a brain drain in SA after the end of apartheid? The people saw the writing on the wall and got out while they could. At the same time, taking the best of the best (not only whites, blacks too) out of the country.
