I've been looking around various 3-6x prism scopes, there seems to be more and more popping up everyday since the patents on ACOGs went up. From what I understand the Vortex Strikefire 3x is pretty good, any others? I've thought about getting an ACOG but I really need that diopter adjustmen and ACOGs are fixed diopter.
I can recommend the Primary arms 3x. Im very satisfied and it uses the same bases as ACOGs so you can upgrade

The Primary Arms 3x does look pretty nice, and I could even put a red dot on the top. Does it have adjustable diopter?
Primary Arms and Burris ones looks neat. I wanted to try a Burris 3x but then I Holosun'd.

ACSS?
Any ACOG look alikes that are any good?
>>33374748
Not really. ACOG clones are generally airshit tier in terms of quality and durability. The aforementioned prisms are really your best options

What about the Atibal AT-AGB? http://www.thenewrifleman.com/atibals-at-agb-review-glyn-bindon-would-be-proud-or-angry/

Nah just the dot

I have the PA 5x on my .308 rifle and it has the adjustable diopter.
~250rds through it and it still holds zero.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards a Primary Arms 3 or 5x scope now.

My experience is vortex is good to go.
Heard great things about the primary arms stuff too.
can someone explain to me why fixed power scopes cost so much more than normal 3x9, 4x12 or whatever scopes. youd think less options would make it cheaper. is the price just cause they are small?
>>33375508
It really depends, some scopes like the ACOG cost way more despite being a fixed power because their glass optics are of such high quality, the Trijicon name brand also commands a bit more $. Also ACOGs have no variable power and or diopter adjustment because all of those features involve moving parts which can make the scope less reliable in theory under battlefield conditions.
How about the Lucid 4x Prismatic scope? are Lucid prism scopes any good?
>>33374488
>Best Prism Scope other than ACOG?
Vortex, Burris, Primary Arms
in that order
>>33375989
What about Lucid?
>>33375334
I have this scope and it's fucking diamonds. About the only thing that has exceeded my expectations when it comes to guns.
Anyone have experience with Lucid scopes? are they any good?

The fact that there is very little information available should tell you something.
>>33377004
Just become something isn't popular doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.
>>33374559
Yes. The 3x variant has the adjustable diopter.
>>33377031
Matters on how long it has been available. New stuff may get a pass but once a decade gets involved there is a reason it is not well established
>>33378979
Sometimes that reason is just not enough aggressive marketing, not necessarily an inferior product.
