Idk what it is, but it looks a little wall hanger ish to me.

The guard, pommel, and handle seem way too thick... I can't tell if its a one handed sword with a really small guard, or a two handed sword with over sized hardware.

Kind of yeah. There were plenty of side rings though in European swords, nothing "Musashi" about it.
