Im honestly not sure, i would check ebay for any old wood bat. My buddy has a slugger from the 40s, it feels so god damn good and is perfectly weighted.

Nothis is wrong with them. The "new" style is to have a dimple in the top of the bat to reduce weight, but its less sturdy for obvious reasons. aluminum is too rigid and will dent where as a wood bat will flex. Although another alternative is the brooklyn bats made by cold steel, i dont know if they are that good but they seem to be.

now that i think about it another more practical one is using a walking stick. You can get more leverage and control, its also a very passive unassuming object and you can make your own.

No. It's honestly got to be the spear. It was the primary weapon for the common man for centuries. You can throw it at a distance or use in hand it to keep away most other melee weapons. When it breaks, you have a club and a knife. It can also be used as a staff if the tip breaks off. Spear is the GOAT melee weapon.
