How many rounds through it? Check it for wear, if your trunnions, rivets, pins, etc, are fine, then you got a good one. Look for mushrooming and cracks, etc.

They're fine rifles when they're fine, but there are a very large percentage that came out with improper heat treats and just fall apart.

Europium paint from United Nuclear has a good glow time, and isn't actually radioactive.
Doesn't come in small containers though, so you will have a lot left over.
Although I think they have small containers of powder and you could mix it with clear epoxy to redo them.

Whats the optimal position for a rear sling swivel? I bought a surplus furniture set and its got three places for it; regular spot on the bottom, on the left side midway, and left side about an inch 1/2 from the receiver. Depends on the gun, I prefer for them to be as 'correct' as possible. I filed little slots in the top of the pistol grips on my Draco's and M92 PAP to fit a piece of paracord through to make a sling loop.
