Nasty Habits Edition
All for 5 bucks :)
>>33361989
Where the fuck do you find such great deals?
>>33362022
Those things I got at a surplus wholesaler that opened their warehouse for a day to everyone. Most other things I get cheap are from thrift stores that don't know what they have :)
Can someone Czechpill me o how comfy this jacket is. Is it worth it?
Its the Czech parka with liner, olive green.
Got some not so surp pants
Anyone ever order from these guys? Seems kind of hinky they have two websites but google maps does show a retail location at the specified address.

>>33362638
they're pretty comfy, the liner is a bit itchy but they are warm fuckers, heavy too
>buying my THIRD M43 jacket soon
Anybody know where to get a telogreika in the States for less than sixty bucks? I like the look of them.

>>33362695
Doesn't Tru-Spec fade really quickly?
>>33363712
Weird, the camo in the pic isn't M90 which we all know is the sexiest camo known to mankind
>>33366260
Tru spec fades horribly, I had a pair of Navy Blue BDU pants from them and they faded to a gray after the first wash
>>33363712
I think you meant to post DPM, don't worry m8 I got you
>>33360864
Just picked up pic related on ebay for $10. Is it real?
>>33368035
Not too worried since i got it for /fa/, but id like for it to be authentic
>>33363712
>>33367790
Clearly he meant US Woodland
>>33368062
I concur

Does anyone know where I can buy this British vest?
Boom. I don't usually collect Bundeswehr shit, but I couldn't resist getting this for 38 bucks plus shipping.
>>33370247
What is the first jacket called?
>>33368042
Pretty good print quality. Mine's all faded from fifty three years of age.
>>33370878
what boots are those
>>33371414
Very nice, do they have any dates? Looks classy.
>>33371671
Nice grab
>>33371208
i have it in desert dpm
>>33370878
Ooh, you were so close.
The correct answer is noodle.
Any recommendations for milsurp that'll fit someone 6'6"?
>>33372068
>date markings
No idea because I just bought it. Guess I'll find out once it arrives.
>>33371452
It's the Norwegian copy of the M43. I think they designated it something else like M59.
>>33372466
>>33371452
Wait it;s come back to me, M51.
>>33372514
There was that, and an OD version of the M/75 jacket as well, not sure that one's designation though.
>>33372615
The original M75 was OD, but they upgraded it in 1988 to the camo version. The M51 has the same collar closure but no provision for a hood to button on.
So you see my norwegian collecting will never end.
>>33372668
M43 hoods buttoned to the epaulets.
Any photos of them with hoods?
>>33372722
As the M75 hoods still do, but there are the two buttons under the collar. Not that I've seen in that case.
>>33370329
Sorry man this was back in december, i could keep an eye out when i do surp hunting again.
Anyone else a fan of 50's era army boots? got these for 100 shipped, I may need to apply saddlesoap on them to soften up the leather so it wont crack
>>33372822
dem soles though
>>33372761
They were given surplus US M43s after WW2, I would think they might copy the hoods since they copied most everything in the late 40's-50's.
>>33372822
50's gear had some of the best looks.
>>33370902
I want it when you're done with it.
>>33371705
Swiss ones. They were issued up until TAZ 90 was introduced, then they were replaced with these.
>>33372150
#Triggered
>>33372822
I have a nice pair of those, got 'em for 10 bucks at a flea market. I also wanna get the earlier russet version eventually.
>tfw no Soviet Pilot's jacket
>>33376215
I badly want the M43 Gimnasterka set from Varusteleka.
But it is "heavily used", not period manufacture (70s-80s made), used as a costume in an unknown movie, and too expensive for its quality.
Unfortunately its the only decent M43 available on the market... Unless I can be proven wrong?
>>33376900
Sadly they don't seem to be very popular for reproducing.
But they are the best priced ones I've seen, as far as used ones go.
Also
>(70s-80s made)
They stopped making them in '69. Hence the introduction of the M69 HeBe uniform.
Hey guys, i hope you can help me, im needing to buy a waterproof set of clothing in case it starts to rain and i need to use my motorcycle. I need a full body thing if possible but im not expecting to find anything efficient for covering the feet. Also portability is a huge plus since being able to take it with my bike everywhere is very convenient.
tl;dr: Need waterproof clothing for motorbike riding under the rain, please halp!
>>33377260
Hmm, that's hard to say.
Can't help you with feet, you might look for some gaiters for that though since they can usually adjust to fit over most riding boots.
You looking like a rain poncho, or like a two-piece outer layer thing?
There's army Improved Rain Suits, which are just cheap jacket w/hood and pants that come in colors like woodland, UCP, ABU Tiger, etc.
The older non-Improved rainsuits come in OD if you aren't looking for camo.
>http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=army+rain+suit&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Ximproved+rain+suit.TRS0&_nkw=improved+rain+suit&_sacat=0
For ponchos, tons of US army ones and Swiss alpenflage ones.
You could do Gore-Tex suits but they don't fold-up/package as well as the older rubberized vinyl/nylon/rubber stuff, and tend to run for more money.
If you do decide you like them though, there's tons of US ones that come in woodland, 3 color, UCP, MARPAT, ABU tiger, and NWU.
There's also German flecktarn Gore-tex (Actually SympaTex I believe) and British "MVP" that comes in woodland and desert DPM.

You're in good hands now Eesti :^)

>>33377388
>>33377322
thank you very much for the suggestions!
>You looking like a rain poncho, or like a two-piece outer layer thing?
>two-piece outer layer thing!
i briefly considered the poncho but discarded the idea as it seems it would be dangerous to wear while riding... between the air drag created by the speed of the bike and the winds inherent to storm and rain it would complicate maneuvering and probably not even do a good job at keeping me dry.
I will probably go for the Improved Rain Suit option, it seems like it fits my criteria the most; its compact, budget friendly and apparently, according to soldiers feedback, it holds better against rain than gore tex.
add to that a set of heavy duty disposable gloves and a couple of plastic bags to wear between my socks and my footwear... its not ideal but it will be the most space efficient method so that i can have the rain-kit in my bike at all times.
thanks again!
>>33377395
>>33377388
You got all that for $20?
That's a hell of a steal.
Why is Austrian milsurp so good lads
>>33378652
The quality.
>>33372150
Picked up that M43 today, it's in great condiiton except for missing one cuff button and slight fraying on cuffs and some paint stains but I got this spray that gets it off just fine, tried to look at the inspection tag but its too worn out, kind of interesting though, the 38R is printed on the inside
>>33379073
why are you still not my gf?
>>33363712
hint: depends on your environment, dumbass
>>33370902
That's coming along nicely.
>>33372698
Still kinda jelly on that one...
>>33381284
Excellent
In the meantime.. I won this last night.. and got more family guns to collect.
>>33381284
Nice! Plenty of real estate for edgy patches too
>>33382558
Trousers too? Shieet
>>33381284
Think you're gonna sell it?
>>33382669
Jacket and pants in the equivalent of Small-Regular... And talking to the seller confirmed my theory that Polish stuff is not always tagged correctly.
>>33382558
Bretty gud.
Picked this up for 3 bucks
>>33382669
Still needs a narrow strip of velcro for the name tape, but I don't have the correct stuff at hand.
>>33382775
Eventually.
>>33383362
>Eventually
That's good enough for me.
What's that brown jacket (second in from the right) and how can I get one?
>>33383603
Softshell jacket only issued to full-time servicemen. Like the accompanying beret, it can be worn with camo or the khaki service uniform.
No idea where to get one because it's a tightly-controlled item with no private purchase equivalent.
>>33383875
>tightly-controlled item
I think I have a few of those.

>>33384209

HOO WEE MAMA
Anyone know how to get oil based paint stains off army jackets? I found some on the M43 I bought today and its a bitch to get them off, I used this spray called insta lift and it got stains off my m51/m65 but its not doing shit to the teal pain splats on the jacket, anyone know any better ways?
>>33388266
Have you tried turpentine or rubbing alcohol and scrubbing it?
>>33388295
yes and its kind of taking the color off in the scrubbing area, you think a dry cleaners can take it off?
>>33388467
Pretty doubtful, problem is oil based paint is one of the worst things you can get on fabric, it's very often permanent.
You can try mineral spirits or nail polish remover if you happen to have any lying around, otherwise you will just have to scrub it and live with the faded coloring.
>>33388517
I think I might try to consult a dry cleaners? Not sure though, i already have some fading on the scrubbed area and this jacket looks fucking nice, whats odd is the size 38R is printed onto the back instead of a tag
On the plus side my 50's boots are arriving tomorrow
>>33388539
Worth a shot.
Where can I find Waffen SS uniforms? Originals are way too expensive, so I'll have to settle for replicas.
I plan on going as a Waffen SS for this years halloween. Gonna be looking into getting blue eye contacts and blonding my hair for shits and giggles too, but likely wont do that.
I've found a few places on google but obviously I don't know if I am to trust them.

>>33391566

>>33393559
Possibly, I did grab quite a bit of it while I could
>>33394352
>>33394398
Can't get enough of those.
White top still best top.
>>33362721
Took a chance on these guys because they had fleck pants in my size(GR10) which no one else seems to have atm. There was some wierdness though... Between the differences in shipping cost and coupon codes the order was $10 cheaper from the "uniformsupply" site vs the "clothing" site. Ordered Sunday night got pants today. Slightly faded but otherwise in great shape.
>>33394637
I get a mild "Them" vibe from blue coveralls like that.
Found a method to fix those faded spots, i am going to use rit dye (tan and some green) to match the color, it may not be 100% perfect but it should hide those damn spots better and no im not dyeing the whole thing im only applying it to those spots so I am gonna dick around with what amount of color i should combine to match the shade well
