Hey faggots, I'm planning on buying a new Taurus PT111 for about 297 tax incld'. As a hooptie to better my aim and self def. in your opinoin is it a good gun or should i save moar jew gold to buy something better ?

Taurus is almost universally hated by US shooters, and I've found the quality to be hit or miss in the few that I've owned The early PT-92s were actually very good, as they were made on Beretta machines that were left in Brazil after a military contract expired.

Lately there have been enough Taurus junk guns in circulation to fully taint their reputation, and drop resale value to the point that they are considered a very poor choice.
>>
>>33360233
is it because of malfunctions ? bad bullet target line of trajectory? or just bad materials?
>>
>>33360071
Their logo is a bull because they cuck every retard who buys one
>>
>>33360262
lol, but whats so bad a bout the quality ?

Get a Canik, same price but much better quality.

It's also a full sized gun (18 rounds) compared to Taurus's 12 rounds.

I had the chance to inspect one up-close recently.

At the public range I was using, some boomer came up in the lane to the left of the one I was using and started trying and failing to zero a laser. He asked me to help him out, which gave me a chance to get a good look at his gun, which was a new PT111 G2. The good parts were that the trigger wasn't the worst I've ever tried and the slide to frame fit was better than what I expected from a Taurus. The bad part was that the outside and edges of the bolt were already rusting.

In the end, that guy ended up leaving without actually firing even a single shot because he was unable to actually see his laser sight (some chinese one that he had purchased off of eBay) in daylight.

>Would you recommend it?

Unless you could not afford a better gun and needed one immediately, I would not. Taurus's automatics are not just poorly made; they are actually unsafe to carry and use.
>>
thanks guys. ive decided against the cuck gun.

They're fine mechanically but the mags kind of suck (just get Mec Gar SIG P226 or P228 mags) and the finish is terrible and wears quickly
>>
>>33360663
I have a PT111 G2 and it's honestly as good as my Glock.

They also happen to be an important US and NATO ally.

The Canik is the best deal on a new plastic 9, and is as reliable and accurate as any NIB gun under $800

Turks make great cymbals, too.

$339 at J&G, includes 2 mags, loading tool, lock, extra grip, holster, and a cleaning brush.
>>
Do not buy any gun from this company. Their life time warranty isn't worth the paper it's on. The guns jam and rarely function as they should. You will regret buying anything Taurus
>>
>>33361482
That's just wrong. The PT111 G2 in particular is flawless.
>>
>>33361329
If they are so important, why do we funnel weapons to the kurds?
>>
>>33361594
Because we're using the Kurds as cannon fodder against ISIS (Kurds in Syria) or the Turks want us to send weapons to them (the Kurds in Iraq).
>>
>>33361482
This. Taurus is horrific quality. Look elsewhere for a handgun.
>>
>>33360071
That's almost enough to just get a Ruger SR9E, a pistol known for both working and shooting well.
>>
>>33360071
I own two of the PT111's and a PT809... I've fired a few hundred rounds thru each of them without a single problem
>>
Everyone that loves their Taurus seems to never break 250 rounds with one.
>>
>>33362809
I've had somewhere around 700rds through my PT111 without issue.
