Hi /k/. I have a dilemma that I'm hoping y'all can help me with. I know very little about guns aside from the basics and while cleaning out my fathers closet I found a couple of beautiful long guns. I'm hoping y'all can give me a little info on them. The first one I'm posting has a scope covering the info so I've included as many angles as possible to help identify it.

There's a stamp on the bottom. I didn't know if that might help identify.
>>33348902
Here's the second one. It seems to be much older.

Bump for interest

We need close-ups of the tops of the barrels where the writing is. Most guns have the maker, model, caliber, and serial number there.
On the second gun, is that a german or french type of trigger? Or for the two barrels seperatly?

Some kinda rifle based off the 1903A4? Look closely at the botton screw on the buttstock, looks like it says the maker there (opposite end of "Since 1990")

An O/U shotgun. Look at the top of the barrel in pic >>33348929 and it will say exactly what it is. Looks like Mod 76 or 78. Made in Italy so prolly benelli or bianchi or franchi or one of the other handful of 'spicyameetboll' manufacturers
>>33349040
I'll get those pics taken and post.
>>33349095
There's a model number. It says sears Roebuck. Made in Italy. 20 GA
>>33349040
>>33349388
yea, I saw that it said
>Shitcago, IL
after I posted. Still made by one of those manufs, just not branded.
>>33349040
The writing is covered up by the scope. This is the best I can do.
>>33349418
Can you tell me anything about the quality of the guns, based on what you see here.
>>33348863

Sporterized Springfield Armory Model 1903.
>>33349439
nice. Its gonna say
>U.S.
>SPINGFIELD
>MODEL of 1903A3 or 1903
What does it say on top of the scope ring?
The 20GA is just a duck gun. Won't bring much $ if you trying to sell. The custom engraving mean it probably has more memorabilia-worth than monetary worth.
The rifle, I couldn't tell you much about, not a big WWI bolt rifle fan. If its a WWI or WWII rifle with original matching scope in a newer sporter stock, it could possibly bring some $, but its probably still an excellent deer rifle.
I'm guessing these were ur gramp's?
>>33349489
How can I find out how old it is. Also here's a 22 I found as well. I don't think it's anything special but I thought I'd include it anyway.
>>33349557
Pro-tip: the M1903A3s do not say "Springfield" but either "Remington" or "Smith-Corona" on them, and their rollmark says "Model 03-A3". Their serial numbers are all over 3,000,000; a range which Springfield never reached.

>How can I find out how old it is.

It's from 1931. It was converted into a sporting rifle after being sold as surplus, probably in the 1950s–60s.
>>33349557
It says Weaver detachable on the scope. Yes, these must belong to my grandpa. My brothers got all of my dads guns but I guess everyone forgot abt these. I wanted to find out what I could abt them before telling my brothers that I found them. We won't be selling them but I thought I'd keep the best one for myself.

I just found a name on the 20 gauge over/ under. It says made in Italy by Antonio Zoli & Co. Gardone V.T.
Do you happen to be in FL?
>estate sale down the road and idk if its worth checking out
>>33349881
North Dakota. Sorry.
20 gauge over under
Antonio Zoli & co. Gardone V.T.281512661.20 ga.
3", 0-mod/U-IMP.CYL.CHOKE
Sears Roebuck and co. Chicago ILL
MADE IN ITALY
How can I find out what it's worth? Just out of curiosity, I'm not selling.
>>33350050
Probably 200-450 but I'm no expert, that's just what some quick googling showed me
>>33350050
"MADE IN ITALY" is generally a good thing to find on a gun. The Italians have a long history of making excellent firearms.
>>33349563
Who made the 22 LR lever gun? A nice 22 is nothing to sneer.
>>33349557
A 1903 is a good find, solid bolt action.

Show other side of receiver.

Looks like your family looked it up before you did
Anyway, its a 500 dollar gun
>>33349644
Thanks. Like I said, don't really have a forte in WWI bolt rifles. All I remember was reading about 4-groove vs 6-groove (or was it 2-groove vs 4-groove?)
>>33349680
keep them all for yourself. Don't sell off memories or family heirlooms.

Seeing as its a Sears Roebuck rebrand, prolly ~$150, the engraving might increase it to $200. But really, its whatever someone is willing to pay. O/U and all breakactions start to crack at the pivot bolt/lug, so check around there with some bright light and a magnifying glass.
Show us more on the lever 22.

Ithaca M-49 single shot .22 lever gun. Worth about a hundred and fifty bucks judging by the condition. Could fetch up to 300 if you find someone who really wants it.
>>33351834
Single-shot with no magazine makes it a good first rifle for a kid as you have to physically insert each cartridge and thus there is less of a chance of mistakenly chambering a round.
My brother's father-in-law traded a single-shot 22 bolt-action with a really beat up stock for a .243 break-action with a scope in much nicer condition. The other guy wanted it for just this reason.

I was just gonna ask, whats the point of a single shot 22 rifle?
>>33351765
huh, so is this technically a falling block rifle then?
And why do we get these kinds of posts so often? Some kid is digging through their parent's or grandparent's shit and they find beautiful, rare guns. My parents are both gun-hating fucks and I'm a first generation american so it's not like I'll just happen to come across an awesome stash of guns. These fucking threads always make me so jealous and it's not fucking fair!
