Does your country consider crossbows to be "firearms"?
In leafland I think they're classified as firearms but at least there's zero restrictions on them.

No issue in the UK,
I have access to shooting land so lots of fun to muck about with.

Pastaland says it's not a firearm, it's a tool with low offensive capabilities (like knives, screwdrivers, hammers, whatever can stabbity stab or crushity crush someone else).
BUT you can't carry unless you have a need for it, and crossbows are forbidden for hunting if I recall correctly. You can hunt with a bow (provided that you have a hunting license), and bow is also considered a tool so you don't need any special permit to carry besides the justified reason.
Transporting in your car is fine, as long as it is not readily accessible to use as a weapon (keep it in the trunk especially in cities).
Absolutely no carrying on your shoulder in a city, in a smaller village you'll get away with it if you're a local, but a good rule is to always have it in a rifle bag.

Why don't you do your own crossbow legality search yourself, you lazy nigger?
>>33348340
no, if it doesn't have a barrel and doesn't use hot gases for propelling the projectile it's not a firearm in Germanistan

They are considered "especially dangerous weapons" and are actually next to impossible to obtain since our Firearms and Ammunition Act doesn't mention any sort of license for them.
I know a guy who managed to get a permit for "educational purposes" since he was a member of an reenacting group, but other than that it's extremaly hard.
To better demostrate just how fucking retarded this is, we have a sport crossbowman who managed to win silver in 5th World Crossbow Championships and yet he's still not allowed to own a crossbow, he has to practice and store it outside the country and practice on firearms instead when he's here.
Basically some chucklefuck who doesn't know shit about shit thought crossbow are scary and called it a day.
Bows on the other hand are completly unregulated, regardless of draw weight and so are black powder non-cartridge firearms designed before 1885. Both can be bought with no licenses whatsoever, all you need is cash and ID. The whole act is an irrational mess.
You need a license to own firearms, but it's not that hard to get and you can own basically anything save for full auto and .50 or larger.
Really rustles my jimmies since I like crossbows quite a bit. At least I can put a stock on my handgun without worrying about my dog I guess.

I bet they do, since some guy here just used one to kill his family. That is, both parents and probably a sibling, or maybe just himself or perhaps a neighbour.
But legally no, they have made noise about how anyone can get one.
yes you have to be an active member of an shooting club to be allowed to own one
>>33348340
No.
I think they dont have any regulations here, i could just go to the closest store and get one just like that, but as far as i understand you arent allowed to hunt with one (even if you are licensed hunter) because reasons (eu?) target practice and murdering people is fine tho.

Naw don't require firearms license but in Alberta can only use during rifle season so useless
>>33349517
what do you mean? I just walked in, bought my crossbow, they handed it to me and I walked out the door with it. I can hunt, shoot do whatever with it. No restrictions on shooting it unless your hunting, thne hunting laws apply
>>33348340
Australia does.
In fact it is easier to get a rifle here than a crossbow.
Hell WA has fully banned them.
>>33348340
Nope, no license in Ontario and has its own separate hunt time, weeks long
>>33348340
Wisconsin only allows disabled folks use them as far as I know

Russia doesn't consider crossbows as firearms. But as special class of weapons called "missiles weapons". They are treated same way as firearms. Crossbows with draw weight under 43 kg are not regulated. But use of pointed/sharp arrows will turn them into "missiles weapons" irregardless of draw weight and can be considered as "illegal fracturing of weapons". Same for modifications increasing draw weight.

I think Virginia used to be the same way, like only disabled people could use them during archery season, but now I think anyone can use one during archery season with the archery license.

Guys hunt with them in America. My buddy has killed white tails with them. I don't believe we classify it as a firearm though.
Make no mistake they are very lethal, it's definitely not a BB gun.
>>33359138
I bought one on Amazon, zero fucks given, and had that shit delivered to my home in two days.
So, I'm fairly certain it's not considered a firearm.
>>33348340
ND considers them bows, but you need some sort of handicap clearance to use it for hunting. so if you have full use of your legs/arms, it's literally easier to use a normal bow or draw a gun tag
>>33348340
Kind of, yes. It requires the same permit as firearms.
>Poland
>>33348340
yes because they used to be used to lob grenades in this eastern european shithole
>>33359138
They are very lethal, Guys up here use them to hunt bull Moose and i remember a story about a game warden being killed with one by a poacher he was chasing through the bush some years ago.

You need a doctors note to hunt with one in MA, but you can own without restriction.
