Hey /k/

So I just moved out of a noguns state to Maine and I'm looking to get my first handgun. I went to the range with a buddy. I shot an m92, glock 19, etc.

But I fell in love with his CZ75B. I want one, but the problem is they are nigh impossible to find near me.

So I did some research and came across the EAA Tanfoglio Witness. Does anyone have experience with it? Opinions?

You can't find a 75B online? They're not exactly rare...
>>
>>33341024
Problem is, I dont really want to buy through a website that sells third-party weapons.

MFW moved to NH two months ago, still no friends

What?
>>
>>33341352
Also, my LGS owner is a CZ fag, there are a bunch of 75s, SPs, etc there. Interstate transfer, but them's the breaks. Welch's in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
>>
>>33341367
For instance, gun broker. I would rather buy from a 1st party site that sells their own guns than a site that facilitates the sale of 3rd parties.

>>33341352
If it helps I ended up going to work where I went to college, so I already knew a bunch of people.
>>
>>33341401
Thats not how it works.

You are buying from the seller, not GB.

Transfers are easy. GB has a list of FFLs.

I guess it helps a little
>>
>>33341439
I think you're missing my point. I know that gunbroker facilitates the sale between two 3rd parties, but I would much rather buy a gun through a store, online or not, that sells their own guns.
>>
>>33341460
I'd be your friend, but I live midcoast. So Lebanon is one hell of a drive.
>>
>>33340986
Witnesses are fine for the price. Get the CZ if you can save up for it though.

Buying guns online is the way to go if you're okay with not supporting LGS. You'll usually have better prices and availability on things like a CZ 75 among all the online dealers, even after shipping and transfer fees.
>>
>>33341470
Shit no, don't waste all that gas on behalf of my robot ass.
>>
>>33341462
A LOT of stores sell through gunbroker.

I've bought several guns on GB where I drove to the gun store to pick them up.

Why exactly do you have his hangup? It makes no sense without context.
>>
Here you go then you literal retard

https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/13655/redirect

Protip, is an LGS doesn't have it ask them to order it. Chances are they buy from Lipsey's/Acusport/Bigrock/RSR/Davidsons/Sports South(The Shootingwarehouse?)/the list goes on

Most distributors show inventory or at least selection sans prices

It's not that hard to get a fuckig CZ75

I get that you are noguns but don't be completely infantile.

Most CZ handguns ordered for 2017 orders aren't in the country yet. Last my rep told me was 60-90 day lead end of January

Yeah I went through that where I used to live. All my buddies from HS joined muhrines, college roommate turned into a libtard degenerate, gf got a job in SC and dropped my ass, another friend is a drifter so he's gone out west most of the time, it's getting hard to get my remaining two friends to hang out.Things are bad on the social front, but we'll all make it, just gotta keep trying.
>>
>>33340986
>go to online gunshop
>send to ffl
>pick up gun at ffl

This is not hard, and is actually quite enjoyable.
>>
>>33341620
I went through similar shit less than a year ago. Friends joined the Navy, moved, GF of 6 years that I bought an engagement ring for dumped me to move to NYC and be a proto-lesbian. No job, living with family.

Things get better man, it just might not seem like it right now.
>>
>>33341628
Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and go through GB. I know a local FFL, I'll contact him.

I also joined the Freemasons. Instant friends.

Why is this "biting the bullet"?

Please explain. You are not making sense.
>>
>>33341664
Holy shit, 6 years is such a long time, glad you're alright my dude.
>>
>>33341730
Gunbroker facilitates the sale between third parties.

I would rather buy from a site that sells their own stock of guns.

I'm honestly not sure how much clearer I can make this for you.
>>
>>33341743
Sucked. Still kinda sucks, but I've moved on.
>>
>>33341755
This makes no sense. Gunbroker is just a platform for people/dealers to advertise their stock.

I guess the real question is not what your problem is with buying from gunbroker but rather WHY this is a problem in the first place?
>>
>>33341902
>This makes no sense
>Proceeds to explain my exact problem with it.

The issue with sites, like ebay and gunbroker, that connect sellers to buyers without actually holding inventory is the heightened chance of you getting fucked in the ass as you have no real idea who you're buying from. You buy from Bud's or a LGS, you know who you're buying from and where to go if/when something shitty happens. Buy from a 3rd party and they may replace your gun. They may charge you a 25% fee, or they may disappear off the face of the earth. Who knows.

Sure, there are reviews, but they only go so far and remediation can be difficult, if not impossible.
>>
>>33341730

The expression derives from the First World War. Injured soldiers would be given a bullet to bite down on before undergoing field surgery. It's a way to endure a painful experience.
>>
>>33341972

OK. Better explanation.

Gunbroker isn't ebay. It doesn't work like you are imagining.

Sign up, find what you want from an FFL dealer with lots of good feedback and a 3-day inspection period (many of these are brick and mortar shops that sell on GB), buy it, and have it sent to your local kitchen table FFL that you found using Gunbroker's FFL list. If the gun isn't as you thought, don't do the transfer, contact seller, and have your FFL send it back.

Buying a used gun or part from a non-FFL seller with bad or no feedback? You might have a problem.

Your local gunshop isn't going to take a gun back that they sold you. And after a stated inspection period (3 days typically) an online store isn't either. They either sold you a used gun AS-IS or you contact the manufacturer for a new gun. Sometimes you can even contact the manufacturer and get warranty service for a used gun.

Also, use a credit card. Bite the bullet and pay the fee if there is one.

Fair enough. Turns out there's an FLL within walking distance of my apartment, I will call them on monday. Thanks Anon.

I've enjoyed mine so far, grip dimensions work better for my hand than the classic CZ models. For $350 from Buds or classic firearms you're not going to get a better deal on an all steel gun that's NIB. I do however think the stock recoil spring is underpowered and should be replaced with a stronger one. The deep park finish is paper thin however and wont hold up to significant abuse, so a cerakote or blueing job may be in the future for mine.
