Attached a grip pod (issued didn't buy) to zero my new optic. Range master who looks haggard as fuck want to be military says something dumb along the lines "all that unnecessary weight, didn't I give you shit about that last time you were here too? Didn't take good advice huh?"

I just got back from Iraq and had never been to that range. Told him I've never been there and then told the guy next to me "this fucking guy." We all laughed and I ended up bs'ing with him when the range shut down. He was really just a want to be military "I was gonna serve but..." Excuses.

I think he just wanted a power trip and looked dumb with strangers laughing at him. I'm not an autistic retard and talked wth him and figured out he was actually an autistic retard that more than likely frequents this board.

This was at Dragon man's, I like the place and the people are in reality pretty cool. I was using a DDM4V9 with nothing on it beside the grip pod and Burris mtac.

I've had nothing but great experiences after so I'm not trying to bad mouth the place. It's great and has no limits on ammo or other dumb shit other ranges make rules. Dragon Man himself is a really cool dude too.

I can't say if this is true for all ranges in the UK but where I shoot we have this massive air of informality. It's a very casual environment. It's all serious business down on the range with the rifles, and we aren't in the habit of calling each other every other name under the sun, but like >>33362967 said, in some parts of the country it isn't used without being sarcastic or as an insult. I'm in a northern enough, working class enough area that being called sir feels wrong, even though he doesn't mean it that way.
