Let's do this.
Finally got myself a plinking rifle today. Savage Mk II (GXP I think?)
225 out the door which is a little bit high for a used (albeit very lightly) rifle, but I can't find these wood stock models online anywhere, and the construction honestly feels a lot sturdier than the polymer standard Mark II I fingerfucked at another store.
Also got to take it shooting today. Shoots like a fucking dream. It's just so damn fun to shoot. Which is ultimately what I want in a .22. I'm a garbage marksman and I was able to put bullets through the same hole.
Haven't been shooting in over a month so it was really nice to be able to shoot not only this but my glock and my AR as well.
seriously? no replies? Tax season and no one bought anything?
Got a pre war standard modell Mauser for 300 in excellent shape that also served as a West German border guard rifle after the war. It's pretty sweet.

god damn that's awesome. I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'm never going to get a milsurp rifle for a good price. Every store I go to is selling them for ridiculous prices and every website seems to be out of stock.
I could afford to jump on a Mosin for 229 right now, but I don't think I'll do it. I need to save the rest of my tax money money for other stuff down the line and I won't even be able to shoot it for a while since i live in a tiny apartment (therefore can't de-cosmoline it) and there are no outdoor ranges near me.
Shit sucks. I really wanted an old milsurp bolt gun but I'll probably just settle for getting a modern bolt action with a wooden stock and pretend it's a WW2 rifle once I have money and a car and some good land to shoot on (aka in the far future).

Check out some mannlicher m95s. Straight pull bolt goodness for no more than 300 bucks but ammo is pretty high
My first battle rifle. Also my first American gun.
National Match. SWFA SS scope.
Has 80 rounds through it. Payed 1500.

Last 2 parts to finish my para lower and these 3 colt mags today
Got a Colt 4 position buffer tube the other day as well
J&G Spanish Mauser in 7mm. Viva Franco! Viva Cristo Rey!
>>33339544
I'm awaiting a frame.
>>33340415
Nyet. Pistol is fine.
>>33340376
Also got CASV handguards and I should have my DSA railed para top back tomorrow or Monday
>para is so close to complete now
>>33340429
It's not a pistol yet.

You can still find milsurps for reasonable prices if you look around. I just posted that Spanish Mauser, and while they're kinda dirty and dinged up cosmetically, they're fine mechanically and they clean up really nice. Pretty good deal for $180. I also bought a Polish WZ-48 Mosin trainer clone in .22lr for $200 from Bud's. My LGS has an Arisaka that some Fudd sporterized for $200, but it's fine except for the stock, so I may but it and un-sporterize it myself.
tl;dr: The days of the $60 Mosin are gone forever, but not so far gone that you can't still find a decent deal here or there if you look around.

Not with that attitude.
Gave in today

I carry my G19 every day. Solid purchase.
I got my XM177E2 clone last week. I'm very happy with it so far. The longest range I can shoot out where I live now only goes 50 yards, but I was satisfied with the accuracy. I only fired maybe about 120 rounds through it but no issues.

I could have had it done sooner if I ordered from Rainier instead. Oh well.
>>33340518
You're in Washington?
Recently got this Yugoslavian Bayonet for my M-48 Mauser.
>>33340531
Nah, but Rainier Arms had frames in stock and ready to ship like a week ago. Brownells has received much of their order. I'm just hopeful that mine will be fulfilled before April.
Picked up this little fella. Like new, 3 mags, original box, and a holster for $350 OTD.

Damn, I wanted to recruit you to my Pacific Northwest white nationalist organization.
The search for good goys continues.
New pistol, and new grips.

If they had any decent milsurp deals at the store I was at I would have jumped on it. But I looked at my bank account and realized I just can't do it. I need to put a grand away into my savings towards a car. Not really much point in buying a larger caliber rifle if I have to spend 50 dollars in uber fees just to shoot it. At least I have a fun poorfag boltgun and 800 rounds of .22LR to hold me over.
Once I get a car, a house outside of the city and a job that pays me wages that can support my hobby, well.....hopefully there will be something left. Or maybe we'll start getting 'Nam milsurp. Today that seems far fetched, but I bet if you were to travel back to '04 and tell people that in 10 years you'd be able to buy a decent AR for 500 dollars, they'd also think you were crazy.
>>33340891
Get yourself that car first. You can't afford guns without a decent job.
>>33341186
Well so far I've bought myself
-A glock 19
-Browning Hi Power
-PSA AR15
-Savage MK II
So I've done pretty well for a poorfag. I mostly did it by not buying beer, not going out on fridays and cooking for myself every day. But yeah, I've had enough poorfaggotry.
>>33339544
Got this maverick 88 for $200 at a pawn shop, cut the barrel to 18.5"
>>33341733
You've got most of your bases covered pretty well. If I was in your position, my next purchase would be a pocket 9mm and then perhaps a single-shot 12GA ($100). Though seeing a Ruger Mark III on sale for $300 would make me throw away that cash too.
>>33342303
goddammit stop giving me ideas.
>>33342936
>no you
Or, don't check PSA's handgun prices.
>>33340723
Thats fucking disgusting, get that shit out of here
>>33339544
Damn you got fucked man I paid less than that for mine and it was brand-new and it had the accutrigger which has been standard for several years now.
Bought a SIG P320 in .45 Auto last weekend. Shoots like a dream.
